Do the 2013 and 2014 FRS models have the same engines?

So basically i am certain that i will get an FRS, and i will also mod it with things like the GReddy x Rocket Bunny widebody body kit, GReddy evo 3 exhaust, and most importantly a GReddy Tuner Turbo Kit along with alot of other stuff. I know these parts were made for the 2013 FRS, but i really want the 2014 model, not the 2013 10 Series. So will these parts fit the 2014 model as well? I assume the engine will be the determining factor for most of the performance upgrades like the turbo kit i mentioned. Also, is the body the same? I want to make sure that all these aftermarket things will fit and be compatible with the 2014 model. Any help? Thanks!

I smell a troll. Seriously The car has only been out a short while, they might change the engine for the 2015 facelift but for now it will continue to be the FA20.

isnt this a FA20 vtec?

Wise 10-09-2013 09:37 PM

No the 2014 model has AWD and a Turbo Charged Hydrogen engine.

It's the FA20TH. Amazingly Toyota claims that this revolutionary engine actually responds better to JDM bolt on brands than regular parts, so your choice to go with Greddy will certainly be beneficial.

But it has to be Greddy, not the original brands that the parts were built under.

No offense but I find it funny that you want to lots of engine work to your car yet you don't know much about the FRS' engine..

But he knows all about Greddy mods! Please...Go spend your parents money modding the car you know nothing about.
