A/C Compressor blowing hot? Is this normal?

When i have my A/C turned on, i've noticed under hard acceleration the A/C stays on but it blows warm air until i let off the throttle some then it blows ice cold again. Has anyone experienced this? I'm not even at wide open throttle, i'm talking about shifting down a few gears to pass a car or come out of a corner. I live in a hot climate and its quite annoying even if its for a little bit. I'm wondering if its normal or if the car has a vacuum leak? :(

Compressor clutch kicks of at high throttle to free up some of the parasitic loss.
Has been pretty common on most vehicles.

I am not sure which cars have this feature now but I had a Suzuki GTi 1.3 back in 1998 and thats exactly what it did to leverage its tiny bit of power :)

I think it also cuts off when the engine speed reaches a certain point too. The compressor is probably designed for operation at lower engine speeds.
