Possibly, eh?

I've been following the car since the beginning/early prototype/concept/idea/rumor days, and was waiting until the right model came around (though it hurt initially not to pick up a monogram), and a time where I could add another car to the stable. I've been set on this for a while.

That said, the first time I drove one was yesterday, when I test drove my own car. This was intentional, as I knew it would slowly destroy me inside to know the car and not own one. Ordering one and flying down to pick it up without seeing the color in person, or having ever driven one was a no-brainer for me.

Love the color!! Congrats! So how much did it come out too? If you don't mind me asking.

I had to go through a similar process for my monogram. Everyone at my dealer was clueless.

Without having my paperwork in front of me--

If you were to go on the Scion site for the RS 2.0 and look at the base price for the manual transmission without any port or dealer-installed options, that's what I paid--figure about 10% for licensing/fees/tax. I didn't ask for anything else to be "thrown in" or any kind of discount, knowing how the Scion pricing is _supposed_ to work.

I wasn't terribly surprised, and was only basing my frustration at the time on the level of excitement I had for what would be my future car.

I'm just glad that I was able to connect with a person that had been doing this for FR-S owners since the car was released, and that I was able to get mine as soon as was physically feasible.

What is your opinion of the camel interior so far?

I will, eventually. Been out of the taking-lots-of-pictures-of-my-cars thing for quite a few years.

Funny enough, before I'd seen the car in person my initial idea was to replace the door panels, steering wheel, and dashboard cover with something less... two-tone, and save the parts in case I decided to sell the car. I'm usually not a fan of multi-colored interiors (GT-R, S2000, etc), and the pictures of the RS2 didn't sway me away from that.

Seeing it (and sitting in it, actually) in person is really so much better. I think most people will have the same reaction to the paint color.

We'll see what happens after the 'new' wears off, though I don't expect I'll be changing *everything*--maybe just the steering wheel for something thicker or Alcantara (TRD, etc).

I think the stock tails look great on most of the paint options but for some reason this car screams "Kill the chrome" to me. Otherwise, :party0038:
