Yeah I didn't play after the update. Before that it was totally playable without buying extra credits... I don't think I'm going to pay to play after already dropping $70 on it so not sure what their logic is there. Those scemes are fine on free games..

To be fair a lot of those reviews are probably trolls who fanboy Forza Franchise.

Game is definitely not perfect, i would rank minimum a 6 probably more like 7-8/10 so far.
I dislike the currency busting update. If they had a Bspec mode like they did in GT of old where you can run AI races for you I may understand money farming being an "issue" for them.

That said making it harder to earn money doesn't make sense other than to push the Microtransactions which is slimy. Fortunately I love the scapes mode, I've probably put as much time playing with scapes as racing via GT sport. GT7 so far is no exception.

Yeah, if it were a free game, I'd be more open to spending money on MTs. I did that for Rocket League and spent $10 just to buy a Skyline, but the game was free and I enjoy playing it. So why not help the devs a little?

But GT7...I paid $90 for it! I refuse to do MTs in any game I paid for, especially one costing as much as GT7.

I won 100000 from a roulette ticket but it was again the smallest prize available. The one after that I won I think 2000. I've done so many races yet my money is still around like 200-300K, which is what - 1 R34 GT-R?

I think my used R34 was like $350k, so not even.

Yeah I paid for some stuff on Rocket League just to support it but it was free/cheap to begin with.

This is partly why I didn't spend the extra money on the deluxe edition. The special bonus credits to start with was very likely an attempt to get people used to the idea of "oooh I have so many credits", spending them all, and then needing more and more credits ASAP but not being satisfied by grinding races.

I really only used it to buy the R34. But I stupidly decided to buy the GT350 and the F40 from the legends dealership thinking I could keep grinding at the High Speed Ring. There goes that plan...

Yeah I pre-ordered but I didn't spring for deluxe. That did give 100k cr that I spent on a used WRX but that only got me through about 5 Café Books worth of "cheating" before it wore off, lol.

Most of you guys are probably further than this but I noticed that if you blow through the I-B license (just bronze don't sweat gold yet) the Supra you get is a 'road car' but it's like full race suped-up works awesome for Café Book 32 (The Turbo Challenge Surpa ones).

I didn't even notice it said "road car" for the type. lol. It's the same Gr.4 Supra that I was using in GT Sport. The gold reward is a disappointing Taycan. I literally said "WTF" out loud when I got it.

I was excited to try the Taycan, I was kinda like "alright let's hear them out and give it a chance". Got smoked by everything. The thing is heavy, utter pig in the corners, does not stop or turn lol

The Castrol Supra GT500 is a monster!!!!!

The 'Ring at night is crazy hard, but the graphics look so realistic. Headlights on that Castrol Supra suck, btw.

I wonder when they'll put the Penzoil R34 in the used car/legends lot...

I'm so tired of the race series I'm currently stuck in. It's after the menu with the Supras. Maybe #34?

I've been stuck since like Wednesday or Thursday. Can't seem to do better than 4th or 5th place. Have tried multiple different cars with different setups and tuning profiles. Debating about switching back to Normal AI difficulty... But don't feel like giving up lol.

I'm still on #33 but I have been playing Project Zomboid this weekend on the PC with my friend.

It's getting ridiculous. I think if the lineup of cars changed at least from race to race it wouldn't be as bad. But starting at 16th place every time is rough.

Been playing little by little. Only have completed the first license tests until I have to get a higher one. Upgrading the HDD to a SATA SSD on the PS4 was a a great choice which has improved the quality of the gameplay experience.

I had a lot of fun with the FF hot-hatch menu, the reward Renault after getting the B license was a blast to drive.

Yeah the SSD loading times are nearly instant it's amazing!

I broke down and got a wheel with a stand. I only bought one shifter though because I'm cheap for one and also they cut-off my third hand at birth because they thought the humans would make fun of me in school.

I said the same thing. So pissed. Hell I was pissed that car is even featured in the opening film. Just BLEH.

I'm not very far along yet; just purchased the game Friday and have been progressing through the licenses only after "golding" every segment. So far I have been pretty disappointed with the reward cars. Even more disappointed with the roulette cards, which every time have given me the lowest possible reward (that doesn't seem rigged at all...). Have gotten the "clean race" bonus almost every time and yet, I'm pretty disappointed overall at how poor the event payouts are.

And we can't sell cars either? Ugh, this is gonna be rough if PD doesn't release another update to atone for their sins.:mad0259:

I'm guessing PD is going to try to milk the whole MTs trend for as long as they can, and then they will release an update that let's us sell cars. I'm just hoping for more tracks and cars from the first two GT games, as well as actual endurance races, especially ones that pay out more than 5k like the only two I've encountered so far (both are in the missions). Both are only 30 minute races.I know there is one more I think, that's 24 minutes only. Pretty sure the payout is only 5k for that mission too. Lol.

THIS!! Roulette starts spinning and is certainly about to stop on an RX-8 followed by an exhaust system, a gold bar, and mere 5000 credits. The thing slows down at the RX-8 and Im like great, I'll get the gold bar.

Nope, it literally stopped at the gold bar, and after a second it moves to the 5000 credit. Is not the first time I miss out on a car or higher payment.

I love another how silly the requirements of some special races are. For example, while doing the Japanse FR menu, there was an event where it required 550PP or less, FR, and sport tires. Im like great, my Silvia S13 can make up that power with a few mods.
I go ahead and I swear I was paired with a Skyline R34, Civic Type R EK9. I get my ass HANDED to me by all these other cars that are clearly not FR. Barely able to keep up on the straights and eventually overtaken by everyone by my lack of pace.

Hmm, might need to invest in this. The load times on my early model PS4 are frustratingly slow.

What they should really do is have an online marketplace for used cars and livery designs. Also an option to mint NFTs [emoji1787]

Samsung 870 QVO 1TB is about $90 but a great choice. The process is fairly simple and painless. Backing up and restoring takes the longest but it all depends on what files you want to back up.

What peeves me is the PS5 you can't play off the external. I mean the on-board is wicked fast and it's awesome but I bought an SSD external so why can't I load off that? It is faster than downloading from the cloud (well at least on wifi I do have a gigabyte connection if I ran a wire downstairs) but other than that what's the point?

Yeah this is a common issue. It's the problem I have in the race series I'm stuck at right now. It's for 600 PP or less but there are clearly cars in there that seem much more powerful than that because they leave me in the straights. I can't even keep up with them. Other than tires, there's no way that's possible ._.

I found some races it's better to be 600PP by HP alone and others you might as well be stock with racing extreme wet tires. [emoji6] (Remember PP is an overall score)

Also if you overbuild (slightly) and then nerf it with weight you can move the balast around as desired for your driving style.

It blows my mind that here we are with a game released on the PS5, 10 (?) years after GT5 on the PS3, and the AI and logic used in the races against the computer are still as pathetic as ever (highlighted in the above comments).

For most of the campaign, I really only just used racing tires, racing suspension, and racing transmission. If you tune it just right, the gear ratios can make up for an hp difference, and the suspension and tires really help with everything. Most of the time, stock brakes were good enough.

If I added more hp, I'd have to sacrifice either tires of adjustable suspension and tranny, which would make me faster in the straights, but I lost considerable time everywhere else, especially in corner exits.

AI racing is quite decent in iRacing these days.

If you think it's the same give one of them a hard bump and then let them catch up to you...
