I don’t think any of the books had particularly tough races. The only times I had any trouble it was because I was in a vastly less capable car than the average AI. The worst/hardest thing about the AI is how they brake when exiting a turn :rolleyes:

Try any of the other events with high chili pepper counts. Clubman cup+ events you can’t mess around in.

I will get some mileage out of this game if they do more events like Sardegna Road 15 lap or the lemans 30 min. Put decent prizes on them to give a little incentive, and events that you can use a lot of different vehicles to do to keep it from becoming a grind. I would love to see similar events for road cars.

I don’t plan to get into online racing again.. but might if it pays well enough.

What difficulty rating did you choose?

Ya should come join us on Sat nights. Its a chill time and lots of fun. Especially if you spin @Kaotic_Lazagna.

Raise the car a tad bit, soften the spring rates, and decrease the dampening. Then retune the sway bars to suite your driving style. The rumble strips are unforgiving at the Ring.

Very interesting. The AI defend their positions, very aggressively at times, brake check when I'm drafting them, follow me when they draft me even when I go to the edges of the track, and will try bumping/pitting me.

Oh you will... you will. If you race clean they are less likely to be aggressive but even if you do race clean just wait until you make that pass for 2nd from 3rd with the leader in sight on the last lap and the 3rd place guy just takes you out in the next turn. They will get agressive with each other too. I actually posted a video early in this thread where I figured out that other guys (from the forum on my friends list) had gotten 1st in a race where I only finished 2nd but my time was actually lower. Then I got out early and got near the front. I almost wrecked doing it actually, but it got the 2nd car flustered which started racing with the leader. It slowed them down enough that I passed them both on the last corner and squeaked out the win. (This time was almost a second slower than my best 2nd place finish). I have had other random hard duels in random places like 6th place where the guy just got really aggressive. Certain drivers are just more aggressive in general but you can also agro them too.

Personally I'm annoyed that the RX-Vision is even a car in GT7...nevermind its the title/banner car for a gaming system that calls itself the real driving simulator! (fake car is fake)

It's one of the fake cars I don't mind since it isn't absurd like the VGT cars.

It's all in fun. It is a game after all. Even with historic cars, the performance is mostly a guess.

Closest I came to buying one was dec 2020. Had the "gotta get the kids the thing for xmas" bug. I had it in cart and lost it during checkout multiple times and snapped out of it. Wanted it for GT7 which at that point still had a "1st half 2021" ETA, dirty snakes. Thank god I failed because GT7 was honestly the only thing it would have been used for and that didn't come out for 15 more months!!

Meanwhile, the only place in the whole game that my regular PS4 stumbles is rounding T10 and heading down to T11 at Spa. Seems like it doesn't like how much of the world can be seen at that moment and lags/tears.

Electronic parts are a nightmare the last couple years. I have simple parts that are commonly used across a lot of industries that have 50-70 week lead times. Just spools of extremely common molex wire terminals I am not going to get until next February.

My pit strategy and A LOT of luck got me the gold in this mission! The leader, who finished 3rd, made some terrible tire choices in the last 8 laps by pitting 3 or 4 times going from wets to wets to IM, and finally back to slicks.

Speaking of GR.3, I did some of the changes you suggested and worked out great. I've also learned to stay patient, most important lol.

It's been a long week for me so far, so at this rate, I may not make it this Saturday's race. I didn't even play the other day, and I usually can do one grind race each day, but I was that tired that I just went to sleep instead of play after work.

Has anyone noticed whether the marathon roulette ticket star-count has anything to do with consecutive logins? Like every consecutive day you login and do your marathon, you get one start higher ticket?

I am guessing not based on a quick google search, but it would make a lot of sense if they did it. A little like GT6 login bonus, which I'm sure they'd never do for GT7. I ask because that's what happened from Friday-Sat-Sun. I received 1, 2 then 3 star. Probably coincidence. Haven't been able to get on there since.

Nope, it's random. I was playing since day one and it eventually started giving me 1 and 2 star tickets. I had to skip a day, and the next day I got a 4 star ticket. Eventually back to giving 1 and 2 star tickets. Once again, skipped a day since I met up with a friend and had work the next day. Got a 6 star the next day. This latest time I missed a day, I only got a 2 star.

The stars themselves are weird since I've gotten 2k credit on a 4 star, and I think I got a gold bar in a 2 star before.

I've also played around with getting as close to that 26 miles after ending a race, and as well as doing an endurance race. Those don't seem to affect how many stars are given either. So who knows...

Yay Finished all the menus! My reward was a shitty Mitsubishi!!

Look it this way, for me to get a car is winning the race or buying em. Ticket have not giving me anything... while my wife is got 6th or 7th car from the ticket yesterday. SMH

I just claimed my last 6-star (won from a daily)...only 500k, the second worse prize.

I realized that all the characters that "congratulate" you at the end of the menus, are actual E-Sports Champions.



I haven't played a Gran Turismo Game since GT4, where you basically start the game and navigate your way through events without a set timeline like the menus in GT7. Is not a car bonanza like the FH games where even you're last, you get a car, no incentive to win basically. I remember being about 4 races in FH4 and had already gotten a Lamborghini Centenario and a Lancia Delta.



I've never been to a track myself, but GT7 has left me with a sense that if I ever take the car to a track without RS tires, I basically have to drive with my heart on my throat with a FR car. This is of course, without a majority of the nannies, just ABS on.



Best car I drove has got to be the GR Yaris, maybe the Renault Clio RS Trophy, thing took corners like there was no tomorrow. The fully modded Yaris, even without touching the settings, demolished every track I threw it in.



Next is missions, get all the License tests done, complete the optional races that were not a menu objective, and get every JDM legend car out there. I already got the FC RX-7 so my life is set, pretty fun car to drive too.

Yeah tire grip physics, especially for FR cars is a problem. Not sure if you've been playing since day 1 - it was extremely broken to start. There was a patch after 3 weeks or so that improved it a lot but it's still off. I could write a book about this but I'll stop myself there haha
