I haven't finished all of the missions or the S license. Waiting for that update just in case they increase the payout in those too. :bellyroll:

I have around 4-5 segments left of the Super License to gold everything (license related). Kind of bummed that the reward for golding the Super license isn't even a real car.

Did anyone do the test of control vs wheel lap time? I test to see which one gets faster lap time. result was same lap time for both. Anyone have a same results?

I don't have a wheel, but once you dial it in and get used to it, your times should be better with the wheel.

Correct. I never use it in the game because it's cheating (to me) except for it's specific series. Basically the same for VGT cars - they're not real and I'd prefer if we didn't have them at all.

Anyone else doing the FIA race series right now? I'm in Manufacturer's Cup.

I'm way faster with the wheel. I can't be as acurate with the analog sticks for steering (I have a tendency to flick it full scale and oversteer). Also without a pedal I am way more likely to lock up the brakes. The haptic feedback is way better than a PS4 controller but still not quite like having a pedal where you have a better feel for how hard/far you are pressing it. I suppose if you are good the controller can work just as well but I'm too agressive with it I have hard time just going gently with it vs the wheel.

Yeah, I don't use any VGT cars. I don't think I even own any. Haha.

Its interesting, the PS5 controller gives you haptic feedback on the throttle and brake pedals, which unless you spend a good chunk of money, you won't get that with a good amount of wheel setups out there.

A wheel will give you feedback on steering, depending on your setup, which a PS5/PS4 won't, except for maybe vibration.

Well, yeah and it some ways it could be better, like you do feel when you are skidding... but having a whole pedal where you know whether you are pressing it 30% or 80% vs the haptic feedback telling you oops too late your in a skid is still much better. And the steering does have feedback like you said so yeah feedback pedals would be better but pedals are better than the feedback controller IMHO because by the time you get the feedback is basically telling you that you are already in the skid.

I will have to give it a try. Maybe you are referring to the undisclosed/undocumented assistance controller users used to (maybe still do?) get in GT Sport to keep them more level with wheel users?

That was one of a bunch of things that helped me make the decision to quit online racing in GT Sport in oh about 2017 and never return - not a single race since. I might come back to it in GT7 if there is money in it. Hoping the updated economy this month changes everything. They have already made major changes to the physics to improve grip characteristics.. it's a bit unsettling..

Those dumb pickup truck races were alright. The oval one, the trick is definitely to bump draft with 1 other truck. Otherwise I don't know how you could possibly win. Found it a little funny that I won that way and still got a clean race bonus!

Don't stoop to their level. Take the high road ;)

Guarantee at least a second quicker.

Oh the Dale Jr. style works great just got to be careful not to spin coming off of turn 4

For that track, I actually had more traction staying high. It's a very weird track. As long as you don't graze the wall, you'll be faster.

I beat all the first missions in gold except the second one with the red Porsche.. I can only get silver because I can't catch the stupid 300ZX. I'm probably just taking one of the turns wrong.

Oh yeah. I had only (so far) done circuit experience on one track, Dragon's Garden. That was a nice 6-700k cr to instantly get.:thumbsup:

Still pretty low key annoyed with the passing challenges. I'm trying to get bronze at least for the one where you drive a SuperGT GTR R35 NISMO and no matter what I do I get game overed for collisions and 80% of the time it's the AI's hitting my side or the back of my car. Seems like in these challenges they just drive a preprogrammed path since from my observations they usually drive the same way each time. Problem with that is you have to memorize those paths and then try to find a fast line such that you won't wind up anywhere close to them.

The little engine (On steroids) that could. I was just laughing the whole time. I made this thing into a fckn rocket. Funnest car I’ve ever driven.
