Help with exhaust install? Boston, MA

Hey guys, I just picked up a MXP Comp RS catback and was wondering if anybody local who has a jack + stands is willing to help me. My local shops have been asking a lot for the install. Thanks in advance :)

How much are they asking? For $80 you can get craftsman stuff and do it yourself :)
You could also buy a shovel and dig a hole in a field. Drive your car over it and stand in the hole!!!

I've gotten quotes between $150-200! Sounds like a lot when there's only a few bolts holding the system on

It's unfortunate, but they prey on those who don't have the tools themselves. if you have storage space for a couple jackstands and a jack, I'd go to Harbor Freight, Sears, or Home Depot to purchase a jack stand / floor jack combo. Sears and harbor freight have awesome deals in store for this stuff.

I suggest you call around some more. For example, the guys at my local shop only charge me $35 to switch mine out - :iono:

I suggest you wheel into some muffler shops on a weekday, find a shop that isn't busy and offer them $50 to swap out your muffler.

Bubby (my buddy) says to use your car jack, jack the car up, support it with a few cement blocks and wrench the old one off and install the new one - a two beer job.

This is much easier than digging a hole - ;)

I drive an asphalt FRS, I think I've seen you around town a few times in the past few weeks. You have the silver BRZ with gold wheels and SARD wing right?

Mine's pretty stock other than the exhaust and some other minor cosmetics, gonna be tossing on some CBW Valentis tomorrow though! I live over near tower, we should definitely cruise sometime!
