tS Wing on BRZ

My current dilemma:

I currently have a 2018 tS (LOVE THIS CAR) and do not like the look of the wing. What do you think will be the best option here: Buy a used one (have no idea where) or a new one painted from a body shop (worried about orange peel and paint mismatch here). I don't want to get rid of my stock trunk/wing nor do I want to just remove the wing leaving holes.

Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful! PM me any contact information if you know someone selling a trunk or if you know a good body shop that could help get me a new painted trunk.

Color is CWP if that helps.

Thanks in advance!!

edit: budget is $2k

Yep, I do want another one while keeping my old one in the garage.

Imo, the sard cf wing is the best looking, I just sold mine and I miss it. I doubt you could find a wing to match the EXACT holes the ts wing leaves behind. Good news is I bet you could get 1200 for the tS wing. People buy 1200$ sti axlebacks. I honestly have no idea how much the tS wing is worth, but I gUrantee you it's a LOT.

I agree the sard cf wing is super nice and think it's just a better shape/look than the STI wing. Interesting view on the price aspect too. :thanks:

can prob find a trunk for cheap at a junkyard, craigslist, offerup, maybe not ebay but ebay.

this frs is practically asking for someone to take its trunk. looks straight, just get it painted or wrapped. find a reputable body shop to get the color as close as possible to stock

Oh that's a good idea! I will definitely check out some more craigslist finds etc.

Thank you!

If "functional" was your thing, then:

Since you don't even like your stock ts wing, my guess this is overkill for you! LOL

verus engineering makes a cf duckbill that covers all holes supposidly. you could ask them

I went through the work of filling the holes with weld and getting the whole thing blended to match the trunk.

though you having a K1x code might be easier to find a k1x trunk and just snag it. and do the duckbill thing..

get a wingless trunk. :)

the tS wing only works on track anyway...Or I should say Nurburgring...since that's where subaru test most of their stuff since 2012 ish.

perhaps soon a new 2020 subaru tS owner will want to swap trunks since they can't get the wing on the new one ^^
