JDL turbo kit owners thread

Not sure why there's not one of these(if so please delete) but I thought it would be helpful to have a place where all members with the same kit could share their experiences with the kit, install tip/issues, tunes.. If able to please list your kit, psi tuner and dyno numbers if any, some pics would be nice.

I did the install myself and this kit makes it easy for anyone some a basic understanding of ratchets and wrenches to get it bolted up/running in no time. For more info and details on install, see my install thread.

Kit: JDL EL single scroll Precision 4854 @10psi 93oct
Tune: Moto tuned.

Latest, sorry for the ugly rusted center section, got some water on there, cant help it here in florida and vented hood lol. Replaced the kit's intake with a direct K&N as the stock filter was getting really beat up with the ABS unit and god knows what else. In case anyone wants to know the K&N part# is RU-3190

Where are you in Florida? My buddy just installed his JDL this past weekend here in Jacksonville.

South, Miami to be specific. Matt also installed his this past weekend but for the life of me I can't recall his name here lol. He's in new York I think.

That's awesome man, let us know and keep us posted. That's why I made this thread, it'll help us running similar setups. I'll get more pics later on to add to the fun and hopefully a dyno, even though im just going off a remote tune. I'll like to get some time to schedule a dyno session and get it dialed in.

Ill contribute. Still not finished, waiting on a few parts.

Thanks man! I actually deleted the Purge valve (evap) solenoid for my setup since i'm running the EBCS. My BOV is now connected directly to the line under the manifold that the one evap line connected to, and I will be running a longer hose from the fuel hardline to somewhere closer to the ground so I don't get fuel vapor smell in the bay. My lines from the EBCS are AN, and i converted the Wastegate fittings and BOV fittings to AN. No blown off hoses for me.

Awesome man, its good you've taken the time to do all that as it'll definitely pay off in the long run. Clean setup you've got there, keep it up.

:confused0068: That's a lot of boost, hows the engine holding up, engine work? Which fuel mods are you using..

Built for sure

Rockero 06-19-2015 09:05 AM

Yep, 9.5:1 pistons, forged rods, ARP studs, full 3" decatted exhaust, 770cc injectors.
Got about 5K miles on it without issues. It really is a fun to drive car. Too bad we
cannot easily get E85 down here.
