Whiteline Camber Bolt Kit (Rear)
I'm planning to install the rear Whiteline Camber Bolt Kit and was wondering if anyone had experience with installing these? Do you need a press to get the stock bushings out to install these or do they just slip out. Trying to decide if this is the way to go or just get some adjustable lower control arms.
Thanks! https://j.gifs.com/58VXj8.gif |
I have these currently installed.
They are a PITA to install and a PITA to adjust. Your alignment guy will hate you. After install cost they will cost you more then LCAs (they require professional install to remove the old bushings). On the other hand they drastically stiffen up the rear of the car as well. Buy the non-adjustable bushings if you want to tighten things up and just buy LCAs. They give you more adjustment anyway |
Agreed with @finch1750
SPC LCA's are cost effective, work great and are easy for an alignment shop to adjust. |

Thanks to @Cole, @finch1750 & @JazzleSAURUS for the advice. Will get a set of SPC LCA's instead.

When you get them installed and aligned, trade around all the adjustables with a paint pen, and make a reference point on both the adjustable bit and where it mounts. This way, if something slips, you know about it, and can get it back to how it was. :w00t: |

What about toe arms? Does that depend on how much if a drop you set? I only plan on about an inch up front, maybe .75" in back. |
Don't bother with toe arms for most applications. The SPC arms come with SPC toe arm bushings that will allow you to get your toe back within spec.
If you're doing this install yourself/with buds in a garage over a few beers, be careful, as installing the toe arm bushings with LCA's will cause a pretty wild ride to result without an alignment depending on how stuff bolts up. |
