HUGE CAR MEET

Often I see footage of the 86 community meeting up in big locations like California or New York. Not much in my area, so that's why I'm proud that I was able to set this up. Amazing moment !

Looks like a good time. Lol, at the mall cop saying you need a permit to take professional photos

HUGE CAR MEET

I was thinking it would be cool to get together a bunch of FR-S/86/BRZ owners. It’s really cool you organized that! [emoji106]
My brother and I happened to stumble on a Nissan GTR meet near where he lives. There were also a few R32 Skylines, a group of Supras, MkIV and MkV, and some other cool stuff. It was fun watching, and hearing the GTRs and Supras leave. Gave me goosebumps! [emoji2956] I wish I had taken some videos!

*And one 86 [emoji1]

You guys drive like dipshits on public roads. That is exactly why I don't do meets or clubs.

Yeah and you guys wear your underwear for several days in a row.

Ya that was some pretty incriminating videos using a highway as their own track.

I have been to at least 12 meets/cruises around Canada and the US with as few as 8 cars and as many as 150 and have not seen that sort of activity at any of them. Even the big Norcal meet with all the cars there I didn't see any of that going on. Nothing wrong with meets or cruises since most behave fine.

Not to be that guy (but I'm gonna be that guy), the longer shift nob induces higher/amplified stress on your transmission than wasn't initially designed. Nice car though :burnrubber:

And since I am usually that guy and not ashamed of it I will say that although there certainly would be a mathematical increase in stress the difference would be so minuet it would be insignificant and cause zero extra wear or damage. Transmissions are not precision instruments where such minor deviations have any affect.
Now, if it was three feet long and you were using all that leverage beyond the shift operation...

The Lava is wearing some nice rims.. what are they? The Lava and Gold works, not seen the combination before..

If you need to blur your speedometer then you're doing it wrong.

Also in daytime when literally anybody could be on the road.

Very smart.

Typical Musting owners. Wait..

anodic 09-03-2020 04:16 PM

Jesus christ, what a bunch of absolute dipshits.

No wonder my insurance keeps going up year over year, when there's a bunch of small peckered, insecure boys driving these cars.

Always blows my mind that people are willing to risk that much on a public road and will never consider going to a track day or an autox or a drift day. Really anything but doing stupid shit on the street.

This thread is not going in the OP's expected direction.

Covid doesn't apply if it's for fun!

How is the IRP shifter working out? I've driven one and the reverse lockout was a bit hard to use
