Tob issue/shop recommendation
 

I beleive my throw out bearing is done. Car is a 2013 with about 65k, I had the recall done about 10k ago and did not realize I should have done the tob nor was recomended to by the dealer. Dealer wants to charge $925 parts and labor. I was wonderig can anyone recomened a shop in socal, la area that is good and cheaper then the dealer?

Don't have a recommendation, but IIRC my dealer tried to charge me 1200 I think.

I don't have the receipt on hand, but IIRC this is pretty much what I paid at Toyota. $1200ish for the TOB, new clutch and resurfaced flywheel.

The part itself is only ~$40. It would be worth trying to do yourself, if you're mechanically inclined, and have some friends to help. Plenty of DIY articles on this forum of people getting it done. Good luck!
