finally guys! www.kbb.com has the value of the brz. i am not surprised of how much its worth. the brz is RARE. mess with the options and see the price peeps.

Dr. BRZ 08-20-2013 09:38 PM

see how much your current brz is worth.

ericmpena 08-20-2013 11:24 PM

$25,565. Guess it didn't lose 25% when I drove it off the lot.

My Limited 6MT with 15k miles is $26,282 private party, $24,817 trade-in currently. If I were in the market for something else, now would be a good time to cut and run, I've got a fair bit of positive equity in it right now.

There are many factors when selling or trading in a car. Just because KBB tells you one thing, does not mean you will always get it. If you want a rude awakening take a look in the classifieds on this site. There are people trying to sell their cars for below KBB value and are not having much luck.

BlueDubbinTDI 08-21-2013 12:11 AM

KBB value is so overrated it blows my mind...it might as well not even exist because you wont get it...

Indestruct 08-21-2013 03:12 AM

Well Subaru of America is guaranteeing around that amount for trade in. If the wrx concept is released next year I'd be picking that up and saying goodbye to my brz

KBB is 15-20% over valued.

thill 08-21-2013 09:39 AM

It really depends on a number of factors. Where you live. What model car. Local and national inventory and demand. Etc.

I was able to trade-in my 2006 Mazda 3 for full KBB trade-in value even with an accident. I was able to get $1200 over KBB on my 2006 Honda Odyssey recently. In both cases the dealers were desperate to have both vehicles on their lots and I also really shopped around at multiple dealers and used them against each other.

That said, my 2013 Genesis Coupe that I traded-in for my BRZ was below KBB value when I traded it in because, well, it is a Hyundai and 2 door RWD coupes don't see as well in the midwest.

Agree; see how much it's really worth and look at large car lots like carmax and see how they're pricing the BRZ.

Kwisak 08-21-2013 09:43 PM

Might be able to get more, Auto Trader has private and of course dealer sales for 26.5 for limited and 24.5 for premium.

DantKR 08-21-2013 09:49 PM

KBB is pretty much spot on. Got 24,500 for mine.

BRZfan 08-21-2013 10:26 PM

I have to question this "Trade-in Value Guarantee" for the BRZ.

I went to the website as described below, inserted my VIN as requested and received a message that Subaru did "not have a value at this time" and to see customer service. To wit:
"At this time, we cannot display your Guaranteed Trade-In Program Value. Please contact Subaru Customer Service for help.

Reaally doesn't mean much to us if we don't know all the specifics of what you sold: Mileage, mods, trade-in or not, private sale, color, what model, location, etc.
