Return Fuel System

I was curious what people were doing when switching from a returnless system to a return style system. I'm aware that there are many complex options for custom fuel cells with surge tanks and custom baskets, etc, but I'm looking for something simpler for my K24 turbo swap.

My main requirements are to get a boost reference 1:1 FPR into the system, so I can maintain fuel pressure with boost. I have a DW300c already in the tank.

The simplest solution for me is to install the FPR on the feed line and bypass/remove/disable the stock, in-tank FPR. The Haltech setup already runs the fuel pump at full blast like a return style system, but technically, I don't think I would need a return line, yet I do want that, so I would run a return line off my rail back to the tank with a bulkhead fitting into the top of tank.

FBM sells a kit, but I feel like I could piece it together for a little cheaper. Plus, I have a gauge already, and I'm not a fan of purple. The unknown for me is figuring out how to remove and bypass the fuel pressure regulator. The part in their kit looks like a custom machined piece, so I'm curious if anyone else has figured this out. I'll email them and see if they will sell just the bypass. It looks like a -6AN bulkhead fitting on a hose fitting going to a piece in the shape of a fuel pressure regulator.

I feel like an easy solution for the stock basket FPR is either to drill it out, so it is always open or weld it shut, but I decided to just buy the DW dual module.

So did you end up piping the return back in with just the aftermarket FPR installed? Going to be doing the something similar once I get out of this apartment. The options available as kits look pretty overpriced and purple isn't my color either.

I’m currently working on it now. I ended ip folding and paying a few extra bucks for something robust and future proof for my needs. I bought during the Christmas holiday to save several hundred dollars, so that helped. My k24 turbo build goes over this.

The setup is a DW dual fuel module. There is a -8AN feed line going to a DW fuel filter to the fuel rail teed with a Radium FPD. The return is a Radium FPR with a fuel pressure sensor and gauge with a -6AN going to the flex fuel sensor and that goes back to the tank. No surge tank or anything else fancy.
