I'm going to have to cut metal out of the chassis to get it to fit though. So if that's something that bothers you, you'll have to come up with an alternative, or this seat just isn't for you.

This isn't my car, of course, but it shows exactly what I'm talking about:

wait, what part are you cutting? the raised seat mounting holes in back?

Yes.

This was my solution for getting something flat to bolt onto.

Ooo, excited to see your solution. I can't see the photo at work, but I'll be getting off work here shortly...

I'm not trying to lift the seat way up in the air though, if that's what you did. I considered cutting the bracket to fit over that part, but... meh...

I might get lucky and not need to cut that piece out. Almost certain it's going to be in the way though.

Basically i bought some iron strips, cut to appropriate length and bent at home in vice so the strips sat level on front and back mounting holes. Then mounted seat to the iron.

Was able to line up the seatbelt corner through the base iron and original floor hole. The others were 2 grade 8 bolts a corner from seat to iron.

My seat is sitting on the floor, was done 100% for headroom.

Oh, nice. Yeah, I wouldn't use iron underneath my 7 pound seat, but aluminum is readily available. I should be able to see your picture within the next two hours.

I'm fat,

i can lose more weight with a well timed dump than what iron vs aluminum would save.

Heh... I've got a spleen and appendix I'm not using, and I could probably be fine with half the number of kidneys I'm currently running. And do I really need my middle and ring fingers? Ninja Turtle style.

those pennies add up sir.

I just finished peeling off all of the stickers on the visor. I was going to take the whole visor off, but then I thought I'd see what it looked like without the stickers. Answer: great! No photo yet because it's too dark, but I'm really happy I didn't just start peeling the visor off like I was going to.

Here are the gory remains of the little Tein guys.

It wasn't much weight savings, though. :(
