Those wheels are Rota Grids! I'm planning on getting those for my FRS.

Looks good, but why make the ridiculous wheel gap stock..even bigger? >_<

Maybe people like to be able to clear ramps, speed bumps, parking lot transitions...

There are dozens of reasons NOT to drop a car. Why make a car less functional?

Not really aftermarket, but '11 WRX takeoffs (17x8, +53, Kuhmo 235/45R17) These are 45.5lbs per wheel/tire combo exactly as shown here.

They fight pretty tight to the strut up front. (aprox 3/8" clearance with current tires) Could go with a 225/45 up front and add more clearance but as long as you run a tire that doesn't bulge over the wheel you should be fine.

Weds TC105N 17x8 + 17x9 staggered with 235/40 + 245/40 rubber:

Couldn't agree more. I've been contemplating a slight drop, but your pics have me reconsidering. Your car looks freakin' fantastic. I like the lowered look okay, but not nearly enough to live with the hassle of having a lowered car...

And those wheels look great too...:happy0180:

That's stock height??? Looks perfect. I guess the 18's fill the wells a tiny bit more than 17's. Do you other guys have side shots like this one? Straight on from the side...it's easier to see the wheel gap...thanks to those who have already contributed...great thread...:happy0180:

Thanks man I appreciate that. :happy0180:

The WRX wheels are a little heavy but I agree they do look a whole hell of a lot better than the factory FRS wheels. The fatter sidewall gives the car a look I prefer and does help to mitigate the aforementioned wheel well gap issue. I've noticed that the speedo is around a mph off compared to GPS.. seriously, just one. lol So no worries there and I haven't noticed much difference if any at all in the handling/acceleration dept.

I really dig that set that civicdrivr has on his though.. that's sweet!

My wheel well gap looks about same as his straight on, there's just more tire sidewall vs wheel.
