1JZ Swap write-up

After having my GT86 for about 2 years and have taken couple of drift classes to enter formula drift competition decided to make an engine swap on my GT86 as I like the feeling of it although i started to learn on a 350Z but it is like a bond you build with this car .

Starting Sunday 28th of June 2015 will start with the installing. and will update this topic so everyone would benefit from the things I'm doing .

Started off with buying these items :

- Toyota 1JZ-VVTi Engine ( modified to have single turbo ) [ heat issues ] .
- R154 Transmission
- Haltech 500 computer
- KSport Slip Kontrol Drift Coilovers
- Tomei 2 Way LSD

Don't think he built it himself, hence not as informative :)

I'm talking with my local builder and he's getting me a quote on almost this exact same set up. If it pans out I'll be parting out my turbo build and doing it. He owns an 86 and is excited to do it. Also cool cause I will be helping him and learning.

What kind of power is your 1j putting down?

I'm not a mechanic if that's what you are saying so no I don't go under the hood but I know what I have built and bought
