Final Drive Part Specs

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows what size/specs final drive we need for the brz/frs. Alot of people recommend Mfactory, cusco and weir performance for final drives, but does anyone know of any other reputable company?

I've tried emailing Weir but they haven't answered back in weeks and don't want to spend $800+ with mfactory/cusco since both don't offer 4.88s. I've noticed a few on ebay that are made for "toyota" 4runners/etc. Will these fit??

Thanks

Eager to know about this one. Also if there's someone in the GTA who would be able to install this :)

Supposedly you can swap an Lexus IS300 differential over which will give you either a 3.7 or 3.5 final drive, but that would only be good if you're pushing more HP than stock with a turbo or supercharger.

Yes, call wier.

I just finished my 4.56.

The brz is not listed, but uses the same parts as a mark3 supra. IIRC.

I'll join group buy, but we probably need like at least 10 people for any discount. :p

Weir is the best quality and most affordable on the market you're going to want to call them and ask for this:

But tell them it's going to be installed into a BRZ/FRS rear differential. You're staying N/A and have an auto I here the 4.88 is a really good choice, if your Manual N/A or auto supercharged go 4.56

So umm, does any of you have a telephone line that can call long distance to the states?!?! If no groupbuy, maybe we can save on shipping?!!?

In for group buy on a 4.88 FD gear set :D

WRBrzRX 03-29-2016 06:28 PM

sorry to thread hijack guy but I'd do a 4.88 group buy as well

I am doing 4.556. I got it from Toyota NZ and couldn't be any happier. Some of the MK3 Supra bearing fit in no problems. I think Spencer fabrication has a diff upgrade program. Spencer fella is a bundle of knowledge too!
