Tail light help
 

Due to annoying condensation on my left tail light, I have consider buying a set of aftermarket lights. The ones that got my attention are the Valenti Sequential Red edition. I saw on the description of ft86speedfactory that the light are DOT approved. Is this true? I have looked everywhere for info regarding this and it’s really outdated. Can you guy help? If the Valenti are a no, what other light do y’all recommend that’s on the same price range ($350 or so)?

Which ever lights you end up buying, be sure to also buy a set of Ninja gaskets. This alleviated all my condensation issues.

Valenti lights are DOT approved and states so on the light itself. Make sure you get the matching fourth brake light to complete the look if you go with the Valentis! :thumbsup: I've had mine for almost two years now and they've held up great with no issues whatsoever.

Also make sure that you don't overtighten the bolts inside the trunk.
Hand tight is enough - otherwise you will damage the gaskets and get water ingress or condensation again.

Ensure that you have the proper flasher module or you can mess things up.

I have those exact ones, and while I do love them, I’m planning on getting new ones sometimes in the near future. No condensation issues whatsoever in the year and a half I’ve had them, however about a month or two ago, two LED’s died on the driver side turn signal. Not a huge deal to me tbh... I do plan on replacing them with clear TOM’S taillights.

I have sequential valenti's with the stock flasher and they work fine. They are advertised as plug and play.
I have recently upgraded my front blinkers to led and then I added an aftermarket flasher.

Same, I didn’t need a new flasher till I got switchback turn signals.

I got the smoked Valenti Helix and was under the assumption it wasn't DOT Certified...


If it is, great, I wont have to change them out for inspection.

Though pricier, the OEM 2017+ Toyota 86/BRZ tail lights look great, they are warrantied, and use longer lasting LEDs (I went through this scenario with our tC).

according to ft86speedfactory they are.

Yeah I read that but I also saw that they were saying they were fake so....
