Steering issue?

Hey everyone!

i previously owned a scion FRS and now drive a BRZ. Is it me or does the steering feel more loose on the BRZ? not sure if thats how the subaru feels or not so a little feedback would be nice! thanks

The suspension for the BRZ and the FRS do differ slightly. The BRZ is slightly softer for everyday driving and also a bit more geared towards grip driving rather than drifting. Most people don't even notice unless they are on the track but I don't exactly drive mine like grandma either so I won't throw stones.

my brz feels extremely tight and heavy. almost to the point that my power steering is out. which it isnt because i can turn the wheels stopped. maybe im just use to driving massively sloppy cars like a 99 tarus wagon, a 05 jetta i5 that was hacked up and turboed before i got it, and a tdi

That sounds about right. I really miss how easily my FRS was able to drift corners easily. The BRZ also feels heavier. Would some new suspension be ideal?

mine feels more soft and heavier. The FRS was much more fun around corners

i also have 255s on my car so that adds to the weight in the steering

Which year of the BRZ are we talking about here? If I recall correctly, the suspension on these two were revised almost on a yearly basis to the point where I think the later 86 actually became more GT while the BRZ ended up being "sportier".

But if you put the same aftermarket suspension on both cars, then the two is basically the same then. or is there some more fundamental differences ingrained in the finer details?
