I know, almost as if it was just to punk a bunch of people as a nasty gotcha to leakers.

Just really weird that it seemed like the forbidden colour. Not at all to be found at any press events be it Japanese or American. This is a Toyota unique colour too which is weird because Subaru loves to show off its unique WRB blue every time.

No doubt though if I do go GR86, this is certainly the colour I'd 100% go for now.

I dunno. It feels like such a meme color to me. I haven't seen it in person, however.

But...

Porsche went all in with Shark Blue, so we are in good company.

If I ever see it in person, I'll have to decide. Maybe I'll love it. I dunno.

Damn that's really ugly, looks the same as those ugly blue corolla hatchbacks.

I would have expected "Neptune" blue to be a darker metallic pearl like my '17 "oceanic", but no, it's a flat fisher price blue, fail.

I like it, but it needs the black wheels from the Premium trim, more so than the other colors.

It conjures images of liquid antacid bottles.

I don’t think this color is going to age well but I imagine it’s probably going to sell to very regionalized markets. I can see the west coast people going for such a bright and flashy color but here in the Midwest you would just stick out like a sore thumb. Not for me.

I really wanted to like this color and I do like it. Just not for me personally. Conservative classic white for me best fits the last bare bones ICE sports car that'll probably ever be made.

It's not a new color, 2020s had both Neptune and Oceanic.

Have to strongly disagree with you here.
Seeing Corolla in "Blue Flame" (slightly different color, after all?) in person on a bright sunny day, I literally thought "wow, that color is better than Porsche's blue colors".
Even a Corolla looked like a fun/interesting car in that color to me.

Somehow I feel that this color suits the GR 86 perhaps even better than Track bRED. Curious to see both in person.
