AT Paddle Shift Extensions look pretty sick

Just put on new paddle shift extensions, they look/feel really good.

Even did a little DIY here(although install is SUPER simple).

These are available at Modbargains.com. They are supporting vendors of the forum.

UPDATED: the shift extensions are made out of polyurethane Shore 80D, and the double sided tape is 3M VHB

haha #youknowit

But I've seen several different threads where people are looking for extensions or replacements, so i figured I'd tag the people who were looking before!

Very nice they look great!! Still meaning to buy them.

finch1750 09-09-2014 04:20 PM

Thanks for the tag. I have been eyeing those for a while and am liking how they look. I just want that little bit more width from em so I think these will be it.

The only thing holding me back is the price. Otherwise I'd buy them.

Two things:

1) They'd look a lot better if they were silver so they blend better with the original paddles.

2) What do they look like on the back? Do they have some sort of dip or curve on the back so it's more ergonomic and easier to shift or are they just flat on the back?

If you check out the DIY thread OP posted, you can see a back shot. It seems to be angled slightly so your fingers don't slide off the edge.

That price. =(

Thanks for the tag. I'm still thinking about these.

Fast_Freddy 09-09-2014 10:31 PM

If only they cost what they're worth. I'd even pay twice that but not 4x.

KelvinBRZ 09-09-2014 11:26 PM

$110?! That could be 1/5th of an exhaust system..

If it was $20, I'd bite :(

m.box.design 09-10-2014 02:06 AM

Needs a groupbuy discount.

NorCal_Guy 09-10-2014 05:42 AM

Screw it! I pulled the trigger and bought them. I dont feel like waiting for a group buy lol...

shiumai 09-10-2014 09:14 AM

$50-60 would be a reasonable price, especially if it's molded plastic. there's no mention of the material on the website, so that doesn't help at all.

IMHO, the price should be in line with manual shifter knobs, and even if this is machined aluminum, the current price is way above what it should be.
