Scion FRS turbo 2017
I've seen the pics, I've read but is it really going to happen. And the BRZ they are thinking about 300hp and it looks like a BRZ mixed with WRX
I thought maybe these cars are dying off because of the bad sales? http://www.autocarnewshq.com/2017-sc...specification/ http://autoweek.com/article/car-news...firmed-america That scoobie is sweet looking, I hope both cars find their way to the market because there such great cars |
Oh man I better go make some more popcorn for later |
Not this again..................
|
Popcorn popped.
Seriously though, if that blue STI brz came in at ~35K I would drive it. That would be corvette performance (basically) as a baseline. http://hanabi.autoweek.com/sites/def...?itok=H8_nbHQQ |
The only thing confirmed is that a 2017 model will happen, and it'll probably have new bumpers and tail lights. The end.

Toyota's newest concept car is the S-FR which they stated would be below the gt86/FRS in terms of HP and extra room. Why would they further that gap by adding a turbo when they stated, "Hey, here's a new car that we're thinking about, if you want to step it up a notch go for our other car the FR-S". Why would Subaru make a "WRX Lookalike?" The 2016 WRX's are already 268-305 HP so it would make no sense to make a car that is in the same HP range. If anything, I'd think they'd bring the hothatch back for those who prefer the Sedan vs Hatch. |
Click bait?

Kinda funny that, BRZ STI Concept using EJ207 engine... so not sure it's wise of them to go back to EJ engine instead of FA engine. |
The only reason I am replying is the entertainment I got from the "http://www.autocarnewshq.com/2017-scion-frs-turbo-specification/" link. This is a wonderful demonstration of how you can choose to approach SEO. First, buy a domain that will track high on google. Next, buy a pieces of software that tracks the amount of people searching for a specific set of keywords. After that, give the software access to your domain where it then generates pages using keyword phrases to separate out the content with header tags. Then, the software mines Google for content and images to fill in beneath the head tags. Finally, it 'spins it together' into the amalgam of shit we see before us. As opposed to actually hiring someone to produce original, quality content.
The key here is the website cost almost zilch to set up, the content is stolen from other websites, doesn't make any sense, and every once in a while someone will click an advertisement. The person/ company probably has hundreds or thousands of these sites bringing in a few dollars a day and they make a living. Anyway, this is how lazy people approach SEO. I love it! |

Because the WRX is ugly and this car isn't. It may appeal to the non rally car racer. Also someone wanting this car would walk right past a WRX |

I'd still buy it. If the new FT-1 / Supra comes in 44-50 that's what I'm truly excited for. |
I don't even know what have the antonyms you people are using mean. SEO? I don't give a shit if you click it or not. I'm sitting here in my office on vacation, looking at FRS's on the internet. I found that one and it looks pretty good to me. If you think I want you to click it, I could care less if you do. Makes no difference to me.
Sorry this was brought up before. I didn't know |

People/ companies compete for top position in these search engines because most people are likely to click those links, see your content, or buy a product. So someone with SEO knowledge will build content to increase the likelihood that someone will click through to their website. There are many ways to boost content. Some of it ethical and some of it not. Google, Bing, Yahoo, are not perfect. They continually try to sniff out websites like the one you posted but people are always getting more clever. So what this person did was use available information to see there are many people searching for specific terms like 'new FR-S,' '2017 Fr-s,' et al, and designed and built a website around that on a domain about cars. On that specific page, advertisements are displayed based on your Amazon search history, for example. The only reason the page about a 2017 FR-S exists is to get you to click through and click an ad. It isn't meant to be informative. In that way it is shit. In another way, the owner is making money so who cares. I for one like ricer wings. |

The only possibility I see this happening if it's a special limited edition like the new Ford Focus RS which retails for $35k+ but some dealerships are marking them way up since they're limited production. So if they increase the power, they'll increase the pricing of the car and have to compete against a totally different market of cars in the $35k+ range and power. |
I don't hate the car for its power or lack of, I love it for everything else it can do and does very well. I've had power cars but they weren't as fun as this car. Power cars only get ya so far in traffic and everyday driving. That's why the Cayman is such a hit

The car is slow. If they fixed that from the factory they would have a bigger seller than they do now.

Friends who drive the car - "It needs more power!!" Reviewers who drive the car - "It needs more power!" "Today we review the turbocharged version" "Last week we reviewed the turbo'd version, but how does the supercharged version compare?" "This engine swapped version is a killer". Which lead to people writing rumor articles, newbies fall for the clickbaits and link it to others. |

Not the fastest out there no but certainly not "slow". You want a pedal masher you buy a pedal masher. The "more power bro" crowd may be a vocal minority but that does not mean they will sell more. The local dealership sales manager was telling me they can't sell the things because so many people test drive it and complain that it is too powerful and scares them. Not everybody that looks at buying them grew up on F&F, Initial D and video games and therefore think it is "slow". |

IDK, you have people like me who was salivating at the car when it first dropped and went and test drove the first manual one I saw and walked away from it. It wasn't impressive on a test drive. I think they could put more HP in to the car from the factory. The car needs it. The price is already well above what they were aiming for originally and it just keeps getting higher with all the features (some required) that keep getting added in to the package. |

Its a slow car. At anything but a corner or windy road this thing is a lazy dog when it is stock. Lets be real. As far as selling it, that's an opinion. I returned the keys from my first test drive and said it was too slow. So, all a matter of opinion there. |
