Rear Reflector/Reverse Lights
1 Attachment(s)
Anyone have any experience with these? I am looking at overlaying/tinting the rear reflector/reverse lights.
It is easy to install? Does it hold-up in weather? Thanks. http://s2.photobucket.com/user/BlueB...?sort=3&page=1 WWW.BLUEBATOVERLAYS.COM Overlays are made from a 7 Year rated High Performance Premium Vinyl, and priced for the pair or complete kit!. Application is Peel and Stick with the aid of soap and water, and a hair dryer for some applications. Overlays can be removed if desired with no or minimal residue left behind by applying heat with a hairdryer or heat gun and slowly peel off. For my Smoke tints I offer a 6/10 which equals 20% tint, and a lighter 3/10 which equals 60% tint. All kits come with application instructions. Also, headlight lid overlays have a double or dual layer option. This is an extra layer in black so light doesnt pass through the overlay. Headlight/Taillight Overlays for OFF ROAD USE ONLY. Looks like spam to me.

Those look like shit. Why do people want to do this crap to their cars? Plus the guy is selling them through Photobucket rather than setting up a real website for his "business." Everything about this screams cheap ghetto garbage.
|
I actually considered this guy at one point. I wonder what he did to tarnish his reputation?

@Tcoat, no, BlueBatmobile is still vendor here. Maybe forgot to pay the vendor fee for few days, but it's back to normal.

Apparently there are two of them with one having a space between the words. All of their posts are gone. Vendor list has not worked for me for a while so I cold not check there. Post removed. |

No, I'm this thread is not spam. I figured my first post may look like spam though. I have not taken delivery of my 16' yet, and am gathering info for when it does arrive.

Instead of an overlay I would much rather get the part tinted professionally, if at all. Remember those are your reverse lights, so you probably wouldn't want to hinder that function too much.

I've got Bluebatmobile's overlay on my reverse lights and love the look. With the stock reverse bulbs, the look is very yellow when they're lit, but I replaced mine with some LEDs from DiodeDynamics. Very bright through the overlay now.
Regarding legality, in the US, I don't believe back-up lights are mandated by law, and a rear fog light definitely isn't (especially since it doesn't work in stock USDM form). I think tinting this light gives the lower diffuser a much cleaner appearance. Quality has been perfect over the 6+ months it has been on the car and installation was easy, if a bit fiddly to get it lined up perfectly. |

Thank you. Looks tastefully done. I'm glad I'm not spam! |
