Too low passenger seat
Has anybody come up with a good solution to the very low passenger seat in the FR-S? My wife is about 5' tall and finds the seat too low for comfort. We use seat pads for now but I would like a better solution. The ideal answer would be if the driver's side seat mechanism for raising and lowering could be adapted to the passenger side seat. Maybe parts from a UK right hand drive car would keep the lever on the correct side. I could try to remove the seat base (I found it very hard to do) and add washers or spacers but then the seat would be fixed in the upper position all the time. Any ideas would be appreciated. Otherwise, I love the car.:happyanim:

Not much for an adjustable option except a right hand drive driver seat.

A lot of people carry pillows and things of that nature for that exact reason.
Some aftermarket seat cover with a thick cushion might also do the trick. Hell one person is running a phonebook under a pillow although not sure how safe that would be |
Yes, I have two black matching pillows that live in the back seat. They work for leveling the back seat for groceries, gently holding gear, insulating a six pack from the sun in the back seat, and as a pillow.

My wife is also 5foot tall, she hates my car and said we will never ride together on frs.
So I gutted rear interior. Win win for both of us |
I'd imagine a RHD market driver seat will work. Every other bolt on the car is in the exact same spot. I just wish the seat was about another 2-3" lower.

If you can measure the bolt centres and a measurement off of a reference point in the car then we can compare. (part of the door or something) I'll measure my car tomorrow. Shipping a seat to the US would be the limiting factor in terms of cost. I know seats are about $300 here usually. (AU so maybe $180-200 US).

Don't forget you'll have to disable the seat sensor for the airbags.
My girlfriend gets panic attacks in parking garages because she can't tell how far away the front of the car is from objects, haha. |

IMO, unless you're getting a RHD drivers seat it's not a safe option, even if it does bolt in. |

A spacer and longer bolts on the seat rail to the floor or the seat rail to the seat?
But that might decrease the integrity of the bolts if you get into an accident causing the bolts to snap unless you use bigger bolts, which involes drilling and tapping... |
