Has anyone had a shop in the GTA install heated Side Mirrors on their FRS?

I though all canadain FRS come with heated mirrors. The rear defrost turns them on FIY.

That's correct. When you turn on the defrost button you can notice the "rings" on the mirrors while they are defrosting.

Thanks should have checked manual first.

The FRS has hollow cams :)

2 years of ownership and I thought it came on automatically.............

hahaha thats great!! Also a heads up if you guys get rexpeed wide mirrors (great in the summer) they only heat a little patch in the center. I know that cuz I have them and that part of it bugs me lol

they said BRZ has heated mirror too... but it's canadian only? or us model has then too.

Cuz I don't think I have it. :D

Dammit, just ordered a pair of heated ones too. Is it really that bad?

In the U.S. The limited and series blue come with them

How do you turn them on?..........:eyebulge: I don't see a way to turn it on...

Like the second poster said, you turn it on along with the rear window defroster, with that one button

Heated Mirrors
 

There is no separate switch. When you use the rear defroster, the mirrors defrost as well.

Not really they still work better then stock for being able to see cars beside you. I will never go back to stock so dont worry about it

I was kind of bummed out when I first got the car, coz it didn't had heated mirror. Soon, I realized that it have heated mirror, just that it is controlled by rear defroster button!!

man I didn't even know we had heated side mirrors until I bought the non-heated rexspeed ones and yanked the stock ones and realized there was wires attached behind the side mirrors...

haha maybe the sales guys should learn more about these cars so they can teach everyone

i am a car nut so had studied the car extensively. I knew way more than my sales guy. neither he nor I knew of the heated mirrors but I found out when it snowed. I found out how to fix the windows on this site because the dealer knew zip. the manual did not address it so I thank the forum.

Both the heated mirrors and the window reactivation are spoken to in the manual.
But...
Since it is of course written in manualese it sometimes takes some serious searching to find what you are looking for.
