Well after reading that you only get 4 maps initially and the majority of the actual game comes from DLC I am not getting this game after all.

Fuck EA, I'm not paying $120 for this type of game.

16 additional maps, 4 more heros, and 4 more game modes ONLY AVAILABLE VIA DLC.

That's why you wait and just buy it used and cheap.


I have Halo and COD to hold me over right now. I'm still thinking about picking up Fallout 4

I don't know what you're playing or what you think you will be playing.

I got to play the game last night for 5 hours and it was outrageously fun.

Worlds include:
Hoth
Sullust
Endor
Tatooine
Jakku (soon)

There's several modes of play (at first glance, about 25 different combinations of maps w/ modes of play), but I really just suck at flying so I always try to kamikaze myself against the opposition whenever the map involves flying.

Oh, and this is just the multiplayer. The single/co-op is the above but without the extra bodies running around.

I bought it regardless of the price. Normally I avoid DLC price-gouging, but I've been waiting far too long on the Battlefront sequel to miss it now. I'm ashamed to admit that EA literally could have shit in a box, put a Star Wars label on it, and I would have bought it. This game was only a couple years from reaching HL3 status.

...Also, this game kicks serious ass to play with a buddy. Having way too much fun!

I've been playing local co-op, which is pretty entertaining. There needs to be more games with local split-screen. I have Goldeneye trash-talking skills that need to be exercised.

I play regularly in a group of 3. Feel free to join up with us so we all have a partner to spawn in on.

I would get it if EA wasnt price gauging like they know they can with the battlefront name. Its unfortunate im a college student with little money.

Unfortunately, my copy of Battlefront is inexplicably for PS4. I'll let you know if that changes.

played it a few hours after work the past two days and it's pretty damn fun! Feels like being in a star wars battlefield with lasers flying all over the place and tie fighters screaming above you. As a huge fan of the battlefield series, this is essentially the star wars version of it. Needs more maps though...starting to get tired of playing the same few maps over and over again.
