3rd Annual Norcal86 ToyDRIVE
 

Hey everyone! Excited to announce the 3rd Annual ToyDRIVE meet for this year. There will again be two events - one in the Bay Area and one in Greater Sac.

Event #1 - Greater Sac

One of the Sac86 admin's has graciously opened their home to us for a pot luck.

This year our donation drive will be benefiting Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services

They need clothes, toys, food, and other goods to help families in need. Please take a look at these links for what is needed and what they cannot accept. We will be collecting these items at the meet. If you cannot attend but wish to donate (please do) contact an myself, Tracy Makimoto, Daniel Harada, Gerard Peña or Randy Nguyen to arrange getting them to us at a different time. Last year we had over 150 toys and I hope to beat that number.

We will again be donating to the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Foundation in Oakland. Wishlist items can be found here

Couldn't make the Sac toy drive cause I've been sick the past few days but I'll make it out to Speed Element. I gotta be back in Sac by 4:30 so I'll probably only be able to stick around for a little bit then bounce.

updated our flyer to reflect that we will be donating the toys collected to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland -- same hospital we have donated to in past years.

For those of you going out shopping this Black Friday and this weekend... please take a moment and buy something extra, a toy or game (or several!) that you could donate to a child or family in need. :thumbup:

What is parking looking like for this event? Street parking?

unless you are there early, yes it will be street parking.

Bump for tomorrow's ToyDRIVE event!!!! Event starts at 1PM, but people are welcome to stop by anytime during the window of 1-4PM.

I hope to see many of you this weekend... please take a moment and buy something, a toy or game (or several!) that you could donate to a child or family in need. If you can't be bothered to open up the wishlist, just know that the Hospital could really use lots of donations of crayon sets, markers, notebooks and paper, basically art supplies. :thumbup:

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who came out yesterday to NorCal86′s 3rd Annual ToyDRIVE hosted by our friends at @Speed Element. Not only did we collect a great car-load of toys, games, and art supplies, to benefit the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, but we had a fun afternoon of hanging out with the NorCal86 community, with the friendly and welcoming staff of SpeedElement, and seeing some really nice cars (and their owners) that came through to share in the holiday giving spirit and do something positive. Several of the cars were recent award-winning entries that had been displayed at the 2015 SF Auto Salon show held at the Moscone Center during the Thanksgiving holiday, and it was a great opportunity to see them up close and talk with their owners for a bit, something that you might not have had a chance to do at the larger show!

Special thanks to our gracious host Devin and the SpeedElement crew for letting us gather at their shop and hold our ToyDRIVE there for the last two years. Please consider hitting SpeedElement up for any of your automotive performance needs, including wheels, suspension, aero/body parts, and even routine maintenance for your vehicle.

If you missed the ToyDRIVE meet but would still like to donate toys to the Children’s Hospital through us, we will be at Laguna Seca next Saturday for the 86DRIVE/86CUP End of Season event and you can give us the toys there.
