caliboy15 06-25-2012 12:42 PM

V1B 06-25-2012 01:00 PM

I am not saying i want to do it geez lol but whatever your opinion is i think it look sick

Dave-ROR 06-25-2012 01:09 PM

I know what it is.. it's ugly :)

7thgear 06-25-2012 01:09 PM

i think it's cool

potatoes for your tomatoes

Linseal 06-25-2012 01:16 PM

I like the kit, the wheels are dumb though.

Zoomie 06-25-2012 01:18 PM

Ugmoe...

V1B 06-25-2012 01:19 PM

I think it may be chopped since there is no seem/gap on sideskirts :/

Want.FR-S 06-25-2012 01:33 PM

Check the picture in this FR-S and there is one with a front lip and side skirt

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9691

Somewhat similar, but give you an idea.

BTW, how does this drive? or does it use the air suspension to move up and drive?

Draco-REX 06-25-2012 01:41 PM

Looking at the body lines, I think that's the Adobe body kit.

Turbowned 06-25-2012 01:51 PM

Definitely chopped. The front bumper is stock, looks like they just pulled the side skirts out and made it look low. I'll pimp slap the first person to slam a BRZ like this! :slap:

Prava 06-25-2012 02:01 PM

I like it but it's a little bit overdone imo.

rice_classic 06-25-2012 02:18 PM

I don't know what to attribute to wanting something like that. Bad genetics or bad upbringing?

Taking a perfectly good car and rendering it unusable seems... Well, to each their own.

I'm a relatively logical person and my reasons for this not appealing to me are:

1: Less safe. I have to share the road with these people! The tires are mounted on improper sized wheels rendering them less safe. The tires make much less contact with the road, decreasing handling, braking and wet weather traction. Risk of accident is much higher.
2: The suspension is essentially broken and cannot function as it was designed. The geometry is altered far too extensively and reduces the quality and capabilities of the ride.
3: Increased wear and increased failure rates of axles, joints, bearing etc.
4: Non-functional as a daily driver. Essentially can't visit any apts or shopping centers with speed bumps. Also increases the risk of damage from road debris as the car cannot clear items.
5: Modifications fall outside of legal parameters of most states and attracts unnecessary attention of the police leading to unnecessary expenditures in fines/legal costs.
6: Uncomfortable, the ride is uncomfortable.

RRnold 06-25-2012 03:30 PM

This is a bit too cray cray for me and I, personally wouldn't air bag a BRZ/FR-S.

However, I've got to admit, seeing it dumped and cambered like looks pretty sick!

Minovsky 06-25-2012 03:46 PM

Im sorry how does camber look remotely sick? Its looks horrendous and i just dont see the point in it... What a waste to a perfectly fine car..Rip

Yea, maybe, but not in a good way...

Falls into the "interesting choice" category for me.

Asterisked Accolade 06-25-2012 04:57 PM

How did, "What kit is this?" turn into "Tell me how much you hate this photo?"

Zgrinch 06-25-2012 05:04 PM

I'm waiting for the wheels to turn all the way flat and the the car take off..first flying BRZ :barf:

As a moderator, i'd think that you'd be one of the first to try to minimize the tomato-flinging. A member just wanted to ask a simple question and then had a torrent of criticism sent his way. Perhaps i'm just a bit too sensitive to etiquette and disrespect.

They are opinions. I see no reason not to let people have opinions and I don't see any personal attacks from either side.

As someone else mentioned it's likely a chop unless someone blended the kit in very well. If it's a chop then the OP will never find the answer because it doesn't exist.

So if you'll point me to the post that wasn't just opinions and did contain an attack I will deal with the post accordingly.

I can see well enough that there's no point. If you don't consider multiple unwarranted negative opinions to contain within it an inherent disrespect and potential for personal hurt as an 'attack,' then i yield.

I think the mods do a great job keeping this place civil.
I'm been married for 20 years with four kids and it is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.
Everyone is entitled to thier opinion, and yes sometimes posts can be hurtful.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...8&postcount=81

If every opinion posted on this forum, that could in anyway offend someone else, had to be monitored and deleted, then we would having nothing more than a bunch of photos and service manuals posted.

I agree, like I said (or at least intended), their ride their choice. It's just a car. They are allowed to love, I'm allowed to hate it, but in the end we're all still friends.

Yeah, absolutely! As long as it's not my $, they can do whatever they want.

Hanakuso 06-25-2012 07:35 PM

Looks like the car is missing springs

Slartibartfast 06-25-2012 07:58 PM

I'm not one to force my opinion on someone else. Everybody has different tastes, and different ideas. People want their car to be unique. Different. One of a kind. I think that's GREAT!

But...

Oh I can't even put it into words.
:slap:

Lonewolf 06-25-2012 09:05 PM

The front tires of the car in the first pic of this thread don't even look like they're contacting the ground....

TOMIMOTO 06-25-2012 10:13 PM

Oh noes!:confused0068:

Who let the V-DUB crowd buy these cars?

I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

Draco-REX 06-26-2012 08:48 AM

I find it ironic that "SpeedHunters.com" has pictures of cars that would likely be slower around a track than the stock versions.
