@HoneyPie check out these offerings from Berk:

Yea what S2k said. I have a berk muffler delete (single pipe) and I love it. My guess is your looking for a dual pipe setup which they make with large tips. If you budget is decent look at some catbacks.

HoneyPie 11-05-2015 02:47 PM

Yeah! I have no exhaust right now and it makes me feel trashy

@HoneyPie Yeah, definitely ghetto fosho. Either get one custom made at a muffler shop on the cheap, or get a Berk unit. Track tested, and the Berk guys are very well respected in our/various community.

HoneyPie 11-05-2015 03:08 PM

Cool, thanks guys, I was just actually looking into getting a custom duel exit muffler delete

Custom muffler delete from most exhaust shops on this car is around $250-300. Better off having that done so you can choose some actually good looking tips.

Crawford continues to be laughable.

HoneyPie 11-05-2015 03:26 PM

Awesome, yeah I definitely don't want something laughable

Don'y forget about the Mach V dual exit muffler delete. I liked the tips on it better. I've had mine for about 3 years now and still love it.

soulreapersteve 11-05-2015 07:38 PM

I've heard the Berk in person, it sounds awesome!

BRZoomTX 11-06-2015 10:16 AM

Muffler deletes sound great on the 86. Berk would give the same sound as any muffler shop taking the muffler off and welding on straight pipes.

Sounds great until you take the cats off, then you really need a muffler on the rear to tone things down.

You guys think I'd need a cold air induction system if I got this [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Borla-140496-Cat-Back-Exhaust-System/dp/B009EPWUVO#"]Amazon.com: Borla 140496 Cat-Back Exhaust System: Automotive[/ame]

No. The stock intake already draws air from a pretty good location.

More importantly, what you do on the exhaust end of the car isn't going to affect the intake side.

I will add another vote for a Berk muffler delete - I have their single exit, it sounds great and it's not too loud. Gets all the same compliments that folks with $500 catbacks get. I don't understand why anyone would buy an aftermarket muffler/catback for this car if they aren't ditching the resonator and cats.
