Looks awesome, man! I may stop by your store tomorrow. I work in sterling. In fact, my father knows of you and he knows the other guy that co-owns (I guess thats what he does) Mach V. Did he use to do wheel repair? I work at craftsman autobody right on lane ct. Very close to underwood lane where you guys used to be located. Looking to see if you fits can hook me up with some frs stuff! Haha

have a link to where you purchased these from? Also did you need to install the LED load resisters to prevent the rapid blinking?

Thanks!!

Mike is my partner in the service department, and is our head technician. He's never done wheel repair.

I pulled them off the shelf in my own shop. See, we're a shop, and sell stuff. For cars. These cars.

To answer your question, yes, I installed a special blinker module that prevents super-fast blinking. It's sold with the kit. Which you can find at our web site.

Hey Dan,

What % of tint is on your car? I have a SWP as well and that looks great.
Thinking of things I can do, while waiting for my car :(

SuperchAAAARRRRGE!

I haven't updated the blog in a bit, but we haven't been idle. The car now sports an Innovate supercharger setup, complete with custom Mach V Motorsports tuning.

I love it! Great, instant low-end power.

Now that we have boost, gotta have a boost gauge... :)

Congrats, I saw it laying on the showroom floor when it came in and was wondering when you guys would install. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

That is a sick looking boost gauge! I haven't shopped for one in years after getting an analog AEM.

Any thoughts on running e85 to keep cool since you're running without an intercooler?

I think it looks really good.

E85 is not available between my home and work, so probably not. I do plan to eventually install a water/methanol injection system, though.

Just to clarify, an intercooler cools the intake charge, not the engine. I've had a few questions asking about overheating and whether the engine would "heat soak." The cooling system is adequate for street use; for road racing you'd want to get an oil cooler and/or a beefier radiator, but that's somewhat true even of the stock car.

With proper tuning you can be perfectly safe and fine without an intercooler. It's just going to limit maximum power, since you cannot run as aggressive timing/fuel/boost settings as you could with a charge cooler of some sort.

I see what you're staying, but I still respectfully disagree. It can be done, it is often done, etc.. I still WANT an intercooler there rather than a methanol injection system.

I was thinking along these lines. E85 resists combustion so you can up timing/boost without worry of detonation. Not necessarily cooling although I would swear my STi runs cooler on the highway on E85 then it does on 93.

265 section width rears? What are you making 250hp or something crazy like that?

DAEMANO 07-08-2014 07:59 PM

RKRs look so good on this car. Especially in that larger size. It's kind of a future-retro thing that some won't get, but to me it brings classic style that just fits perfectly with the design.
