Where to put name decal on FRS

So the local rule book stipulates that name decals be either on the rear window (which is tiny on the FRS) or on the front wing, which occupied by that damn GT 86 logo panel. Any suggestions on another appropirate location for names? I would prefer not to pick navs based on last name.

What the heck are you talking about?

Read on folks it does make sense once a couple of key words are added.

I have no idea, but this is my translation/inner monologue as I was reading it:

"Okay so OP wants to put some sort of decal on his car and there's laws to enforce allowed places to put it. Rear window is tiny, what the heck? What's he comparing it to, a greyhound bus or SUV's rear window? I don't know how to make a sedan or coupe's rear window any bigger. Alright... the other choice is a front wing. I did not know the FR-S was a F1 car with a front wing. Whaa??? Oh, the GT86 fender garnish, I guess he meant the fender when he said front wing. What kind of random arbitrary law allows it either to be on the rear window or on the fender wtf those two places are nothing alike. Now he's asking for an appropriate place??? Huh??? I thought he listed the only acceptable places. Perhaps the final sentence will make sense.... Navs??? last name??? alright time to see other replies to try to make sense of this"

There's your clue. He's talking about where to put the names on his car for himself and a navigator for rally racing.

By "rear window," he's talking about the rear side window, which is pretty small. I'm not sure what he means by "wing," but considering that he's worried about an 86 logo, it would have to be either the nose of the car or the side vent panel.

Have you ever considered becoming a translator? About 1:30 in.

I would suggest you to petition an exception to the rules, and mention/illustrate situations where you will have a name that is difficult to read.

Example:

You selected former Olympic swimmer Pieter van den Hoogenband as your copilot. At 12pt font, the name simply is too long.

Or worse, someone with the Welsh name Llanfair*pwllgwyngyll*gogery*chwyrn*drobwll*llan*t ysilio*gogo*goch, same as the town.

Sorry about the cryptic post, I will re read before I post in the future. Extra shaky got it right here.

I think I might go with the nameless route and split the decals into two, even though that might be tight as well.

Thanks! I wasn't being a smart ass earlier I was truly baffled.

Bottom left or right on windshield imo looks best

ntron1 10-24-2015 10:43 AM

I would put them upside down near the bottom of each door. Easier to read in case of emergency...

I went with the Mr Robot font for mine. The color actually isn't black, but a really dark gray. Can't remember the Pantone PMS color, but I can't wait for a sunny day to see what it really looks like.Gonna get the entire roof done in this same color as well.

that's cool. Maybe white will pop up even more. I got mine off ebay for about $25 bucks. It was meant to go on the sides but then I got the side skirts and it would be too much, put it on the hood instead
