Valenti Tails, now no Brake lights
before everyone starts, i did some searching, already did some trouble shooting which ill explain more in a moment
this all started with the wonderful traction/ABS light coming on, i currently just installed the Valenti, i also have a 4th brake light installed (disconnected to make sure it wasnt that) i have checked the fuses underneath bye the driver side of the car, swapped out fuses to be safe, still nothing ABS fuses in the engine bay look fine im writing this while im at work so i dont have the stock tails to install and see if maybe its the tails themself i reset the battery, pulled the positive terminal any other suggestions to look at???? |
Bad news. Many of these stories end with "well the lights toasted my BCU". There is of course no way of checking this short of swapping back.
Did you check the fuse under the dash? The one under the highlight. http://i.imgur.com/SQinn.jpg |
I'll give it a look. Thanks

Now my windows are working. Think I messed up somewhere with fuses.
I'm working in the dark. But everything seems fine Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk |
well did everything i could
got the windows working, just a bad fuse! gonna replace all the LED's on the car with the stock Bulbs, put the stock tail lights back on and call the dealer |
In for updates. I'm personally considering aftermarket lights and I am afraid of something like this happening.

got the car back
it was my Brake light Switch Part Number su00302490 could anyone tell me if that could have just been faulty? or caused from the tail lights ???? |
I have no idea but OP, you also had LED bulbs for interior lights?
i remember my doom light did not work when door is opened after i switched to LED for while. it worked for while but one day, Boom! it did not work. BCU was damaged. ever since then, i don't use LEDs for interior. I only use LEDs on exterior light such as headlight, brake, license plate light, etc. I don't fully understand why LEDs causing it but didnt want to risk it again. anyway, glad you got the parts fixed under warranty! |

in the trunk and the dome light been on the car for almost 2 years, just weird im seeing this problem now now that ive had this problem, i may just stick to regular bulbs in the Interior |
I had a similar incident with LED bulbs.
I removed the dome LED, trunk & DRL bulbs before taking my car for it's first oil change. When I put them back in that's when my headlights would not go on. I had remembered reading another member had it's BCU fried because of the interior dome light. I can't remember specific details. I removed the LED dome & trunk bulbs and put the OEM bulbs back in. So far my headlights are fine now. Go figure huh. :iono: |
