Yeah, I have 7:30 tickets for the 17th. It only took me 2 hours to get Fandango to work.

I had the site up all day at work. + Arclight Theatres site + Movietickets + AMC Theatres site + Regal Cinemas site + called the movie theatres directly.

Finally Arclight worked for me after 2 hours of refreshing.

How does a football thread change subjects so fast?

I... uhhh... fastforwarded through the commercials since I had the games recorded. Totally missed the commercial even though it's all anyone could talk about. Am I a heathen for skipping straight through?

My nerd side and my jock side just don't mix. I'll watch the commercial sometime today though to get the hype on.

It was particularly easy for me not to think about football last night, because the Giants seemed to have forgotten about football last night.

why? 10-20-2015 12:49 PM

i couldn't imagine watching the movies all in 1 take. I think I would fall asleep. Can't wait though there is no way I'm going until a few weeks in. I hate super full theaters. Well I kinda hate theaters completely too.

mav1178 10-20-2015 01:17 PM

My Arclight pass says the first movie starts Thursday December 17 at 1AM. COnsidering that Episode VII will screen at 7PM, that makes:

I - 133 minutes
II - 142 minutes
III - 140 minutes
IV - 121 minutes
V - 124 minutes
VI - 131 minutes

Total of approx. 13.2 hours of movies, putting it around 4:20PM. Add 10-15 minutes between each movie and we will end the marathon sometime around 6 to 6:30PM, just in time for the actual Episode VII.

YES. I AM READY.

jawn 10-20-2015 01:20 PM

Nice. Looks like you can get a good nap in during Episodes II and III, and maybe take a hobo shower in the bathroom.

The nice thing about the Arclight is that the seats are reserved & assigned, so I can leave anytime I want and the seat will be there.

I just want to sit there and witness IV V VI again, especially the most iconic scene of all time:

That shot of a shadow going OVER an Imperial-Class Star Destroyer blew my mind.

I would probably just show up 133 minutes late....:)

I'm so excited I don't really know how to talk about it.

 to you for being able to sit 13+ hours for all the movies. I am a also a die hard Star Wars fan (old trilogy>new trilogy of course), but I don't think I can watch all of it in one sitting haha. I am excited for the episode 7 though. I'll probably watch it more than once to get all the details in and let it sink in...I know I had to watch the new trailer multiple times.

At first viewing of the new trailer I was like :iono:. Now after multiple viewings I'm like :happyanim::thumbup::fighting0040::popcorn:

I camped out 6 hours to buy tickets in 1999.
I camped out 12+ hours to watch Episode I in 1999.

Sitting inside for 14 hours is a piece of cake compared to what we used to have to do, before the internets.

Monday night = Top Gear reruns for me :v

53Driver 10-20-2015 02:38 PM

Now that Disney owns the rights to the franchise, they need to destroy I,II and III and just start all over.

Anyone who hasn't seen Attack the Block needs to, John Boyega is going to be fantastic for many years to come.

Going to sit down and watched the Despecialized trilogy over the next week or two.

Oh, you're a robot hand guy. I'm not sure if that's necessarily him, or if it's just a red herring. I'd know it's him, if JJ would come out and say that it's not Luke. Just like when he told us Cumberbuns wasn't Khan.

Exactly two people with robot (right) hands in the Star Wars universe, one known to be dead, both associated with R2-D2.

Impressive amount of mental gymnastics for a red herring, if the robot hand is meaningless and r2-d2 is meaningless than the shot is meaningless and they could have put another explosion in it's place.

I'm a little disappointed they gave away that Boyega joins the Rebel Alliance, probably going to avoid watching any trailers from here on out.

This is exactly why I avoid watching trailers for any movie I really want to see.

Technically there was 3. One had 2 right hands... but who's counting Generals?

I'm just going to call it:

Kylo Ren (of the Knights of Ren) has the original surname Skywalker.

Luke turns evil.

Disney trumps Warner Bros. by having Luke v Leia a full quarter ahead of Batman v Superman.

I just wouldn't put it past JJ to have another guy lose a hand/have a robot hand, because it's like poetry, it rhymes. Everything has to be about a Skywalker. Obviously, I'm not arguing that the shot is meaningless. It's obviously a callback to ANH.

Also, Luke isn't on the poster.
