Do girls check out your car?
 

Was wondering if other FRS/BRZ owners have experienced random girls checking out their cars while they are out in public.

I was at Home Depot today by myself checking out some water heaters and when I got back to my car this pretty hot blonde was checking out my car. She nearly broke her neck trying to take a look at my car while I was pulling out of the parking lot. She was with her boyfriend, husband, dad or something (she was probably in late 20's or early 30's).

And about 3 weeks ago I was at a gas station and this pretty hot, fit brunette milf type (looked to be in her 30's) was checking out my car like crazy. She looked at me, then the car and then at me and the car. Kind of funny.

Find this sort of attention a bit flattering. Just wondering if any other Twin owners have had similar experiences.

Mostly cougars at bars. Have a few my age in mid 20's but they all drive a Prius.

I do catch younger girls taking pics of it but it is rare and always after I wax car.

But, for every 1 girl, there's 10 guys who said something to me about the car.

mostly other dudes my age give a shit about my car.

Just dudes. Lots of dudes. Mainly older/retired who say "Didn't know toyota made a sports car anymore"

Anyhoo, I mostly get stares from older gentlemen who know nothing about the car.

There were a few times where I caught women walking along either by themselves or with their husbands/boyfriends staring my way.

It is funny because even though the same colour (the car that is) I get about a 60/40 split between guys of all ages and women of all ages. Most of the women that comment use words such as "cute" and "colour" mind you. Maybe it is the BRZ spoiler you have that makes the difference.

Could be! A lot of them are in higher end cars however (Porsches, Lexus, etc).

Then again, I work in a pretty "wealthy" area...

Whenever I'm simply cruising near the beach however.. ;)

I have overheard "oh look at that Porsche/Jag/Ferrari/Insert super car name here probably 100 times when I have gone past people in parking lots or at the cottage. Only once have I ever heard anybody get even close and they said "look at the sweet BRZ". People around here just don't have a clue and either cant see or ignore the badges.

You should put "Prius" badge on and see the reactions then...

Oh wow..Do you have any idea how many heated in car arguments that would start.. It would rip friendships apart, bring whole families into turmoil.

At first I didn't notice many looks. Occasionally I'd catch someone checking my car while stopped at an intersection. Then I dipped the wheels black, tinted the windows, and wrapped the roof. Now I catch people checking it out all the time. Just today I had an older man come up to me in a parking lot at talk to me about the car, and then leaving my house tonight the neighbors were having a party and a group of people were out on the porch talking about my car not knowing it was mine. One of the guys kept repeating "That's a fucking sexy car" over and over. Felt good haha.

Had two high school/college girls follow me home once, they looked pretty smashable... Mostly dudes though as stated previously. Most of them ask "so what is it" and then "is it fast"..... my immediate response is "it handles well.".

My girlfriend liked FR-S's before we met, was her favourite car. When I took her home in the dodge and she saw it she was pretty impressed... but that's rare to find in a chick. Then again, so is the fact that she's a rally navigator in her spare time :bellyroll:

i get more stares from porsche owners.

i did have a girl in an evo pull up and check out my car. but you know who'd win that race.......

just toss a couple dirty socks on the road by her car.. instincts will kick in and she will have to pick them up and put them in the dirty linens bin.

I think chicks like it. All my nurses at the office loved it. Its a very nice classic design, not shouty or aggressive. once you upgrade the cheap looking bits (wheels, tails, headlights) it starts to look like something worth alot more than 20k.

Actually, if you were, the car to have is a Miata.

To the average person the wheels, and lights don't look cheap. That is a subjective opinion and usually only held by car guys. In fact the average person doesn't even notice cars have such things. They see basic body lines and colour and that is about it. They are also not aware of drop, wheel gap, wrapped roofs, shift knobs, lips, or 99% of the other things we can see and have thoughts on. Many of them already believe it looks worth a lot more and if you parked a moderately modded one beside a stock one they couldn't tell you the difference.

thats true. as car guys we tend to scrutinize to the last detail.
