Yes they pay to keep the site going but I have seen what can happen when the advertisement on a forum gets carried away. It makes it almost unusable with load times from the sheer number of ads and pop ups in the middle of your posts.
Report it if it gets too bad and somebody will deal with it.
They have a very clear set of rules to follow and I know the Mods (at least Ichi) try to stay on top of them but I am sure it is like herding cats.

Every other post seems to be tcoat so this forum is nothing but ads and tcoat. I think this forum is totaled and has crickets.

Our boss isn't a fan of ads. That's why for almost 2yrs, we didn't have ad thingy on the front of the forum.

Also in General threads having "Hi we're *insert a vender*" thread, I'll keep it for a day and move it to "Announcement/giveaway* section.

I think he is referring to the vendor threads trying to sell various products. It seems like a lot since they bump all their threads at one time.

They shouldn't be bumping technical section of the forum. They only allow to bump commercial classified section.

If you see it, report it, we'll try to take care of it

I don't think they bump the technical threads. It sounds like @go_a_way1 reads the forum like I do. I go to "New Posts" and then read through the threads I'm interested in. If you do that, you see all the threads that have been bumped by vendors.

I see the same thing. Sometimes I don't mind it. But some of the vendors have horrible websites..... also by looking through new posts for the venders I see new deals come into play.

What kind of ad?

Vendor threads that they bump every day. It only bothers me in the new posts area cuz they bump them all at the same time ahha.

Ah~ gotcha. They can only have 9 commercial threads, so they try to keep it update much as they can. Sometimes it's annoying, but it used to be more annoying.

What would also help (and I've suggested this before) is if they are going to bump it, if they would delete the last bump first. That way you don't end up with a thread of 30 pages that has 29 pages of bumps and 1 page of useful information from the vendor and their customers.

Sometimes when I see one show up it piques my interest, until I see that, then I don't even bother to read the OP.
