Interior Upgrade Steering wheels Sharing

3 Attachment(s)
Please, feel free to share your interior modification or steering wheels upgrade. Just want to gather different ideas. Thanks in advance!

Mission impossible!

Help us out! We need 20 people or over to get enough orders to produce the special blue carbon fiber with blue stitching steering wheel from the factory.

Please, spread the news and we can make it when we have enough orders.

We have one down and 19 more to go. You can be the one to make the dream comes true.

The color of blue carbon fiber will be what we have done to GTR

LOLS2K 10-07-2015 05:25 PM

I like the first one. The twins steering wheel already reminds me of a Porsche GT3 steering wheel, and that does it for me.

Dctmotorsports 10-07-2015 05:50 PM

The first one has alcantara material wrap and it often used in luxury car like Porsche.

Or race car for grip.:burnrubber:

Dctmotorsports 10-07-2015 05:56 PM

Yes, true. If you were custom your steering wheels, what would you change?

LOLS2K 10-07-2015 07:02 PM

I think the accents of #1 with the D shape of #3 would be totally cool.

Out of the 3 you posted I like the first one. As for me I ditched the stock one completely lol

Nice, I can imagine this style could be good for race and also enhance the interior appearance.

Are you the only one to ditch the stock style in your San Diego 86 group?

No im not the only one but you can imagine most of them have stock steering wheels. That's not the only reason I got it. I like the look and its extremely lightweight compared to stock. But you do sacrifice the Airbag

This is my favorite one, but at the 500$ price its a bit pricey for what it is. Thicker with a red stripe at the top would be the one for me!

I haven't found any other alternatives to this without replacing the airbag, which is not something I want to do.

You can always have a company like jpm wrap your stock one and add that line.

I was considering it, but wouldn't be the consistent thickness throughout the wheel :/

weederr33 10-07-2015 09:55 PM

Having the stock wheel rewrapped in momo leather with the strip would make me happy. Probably be less than the TRD

I've heard a lot of people complain about the Trd one because it doesn't have the thumb indents.

If I could I would by a fully carbon fiber one without the airbag as light as possible. Of course I don't think I can in Mass. I should probably check on that though, I hate airbags.

the yearly inspection place will know. In mass they get to hook the computer up to the car. It is extremely intrusive. It is almost impossible to fake or switch cars, etc.

had this ordered thru a friend and hopefully it gets to me before December :) got them because they are slightly thicker than stock and because Tom's :D

The steering wheel can easily be swapped takes 15-30 minutes.

No one will know until you get into a crash and be D-E-D.

Haven't heard any from reviews, I'd like to think I'd prefer it.

Love the look without airbags but this is a huge concern

Is that a stock knob with Racseng reverse lockout on your gear lever? I've been wondering if that might solve some people's gear lever rattle issues.

Love this glossy beautiful red carbon fiber FR-S steering wheel. It looks good with the airbag too.

Just for curiosity's sake, what kind of special features make you like this steering wheel?

OnkelC 10-15-2015 04:23 PM

it's a bit smaller in diameter and just a tad thicker in girth than the OEM wheel, feels better for me.
