Strange Cars for Sale
Here's a FR-S for sale with a full Rocket Bunny (or copy) kit installed and oversize rims, which at that height make this car look like an off-roader. Why go thru so much trouble of installing and paint matching just to trade it in? Also it's strange that the dealer doesn't even mention the kit in the ad, so some unsuspecting car buyer will think this is how FR-Ss come stock?

The hood is interesting. Seems kind of sad, like it's waiting for someone to rescue it. http://images.cars.com/supersized/DM...8/13995/03.jpg http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/de...6935/overview/ |
Maybe they were used on the set of F&F or something.

As I have said before when people wondered why somebody would trade a new car after one year (for non practical reasons) it has a lot to do with the desire to possess over the actual possession. Many people are actual more caught up in the dreaming, planning purchasing and working on a project then they really are concerned with the finished project. Once the item they desired is theirs or the dream project is complete it no longer fulfills their needs and they start the process all over again. Many that do this never even know that they are caught up in it since the human brain does such a good job of rationalizing action that they always think there was some other reason they moved on.

7/10 Would Mad Max

I kind of like that first one. Throw some aggressive tires on it and use it as a rally car.

http://bringatrailer.com is my go-to for oddball sh*t.
They usually feature around six or ten cars every day. Obviously I keep that page open on my phone constantly. No. I don't work for them. :) http://bringatrailer.com/2015/10/07/...d-transporter/ http://i.imgur.com/eHxgeWm.jpg http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1965-nissan-patrol/ http://i.imgur.com/V7pyh0i.jpg http://bringatrailer.com/2015/10/01/...-griffith-430/ http://i.imgur.com/qNfLyIp.jpg http://bringatrailer.com/2015/10/02/...1972-fiat-500/ http://i.imgur.com/BXog8lI.jpg |

Inside scoop - the first owner was building his car for rally stages, but traded it in when Toyota released the rally-spec GT86 CS-R3 a few days ago. You heard it here first ;)

oh come on, you mean no one knows if our car has the normal impreza suspension yet? How is that possible? If it does we could swap WRX/STi/Forester? etc suspension components just like all the other Subaru guys do.

I'd guess they were each traded for a VW Diesel, a few weeks ago, for way better fuel mileage.
For sure, for sure. |
In the add it says the cars color is Argento.....so is that really the car or not?

As long as we're talking about strange cars, there's this:
Ebay: 1967 Chevrolet Corvette This appears to be a very rare 1967 Corvette convertible worth a lot of money. Except that it doesn't have a Corvette VIN, and someone I know who has an exceptional level of Corvette knowledge says that's actually a replica sitting on a GM G body frame. If this is a replica and not some weird misunderstanding, this actually wouldn't be the first time someone had been screwed with a fake 1967. This car has also been posted on the internet on various car listings from $20K up to $32K. As I write this someone has bid more than $22K for it. How exciting it would be to send off a cashier's check and get your 1967 Corvette delivered, only to discover that it isn't actually a Corvette. |

Which might make sense in this scenario. If you custom built a fake Corvette out of parts but didn't want to be accused of fraud, you would need to have it titled somehow as a replica. I would be interested in seeing what the actual title says on it. What we think is that it was built by a pretty well-known Corvette restorer in the '80s as a funny project, and he would not have tried to have it titled as a real 1967 Corvette because he was doing it right out in the open to sell as a replica. |
