No idea how this happened and when I push down on it, it just springs back out.

Not warping, but on mine the glue has definitely come undone and is raised up maybe a few mm. This is why I always use a sunshade when I park.

That's not too bad, I can hardly notice it.

Why are you still here? I stopped reading golfmk6 after I sold my GTI. What's the point? Want me to tell you about how many water pumps my GTI went through? How many pressure plates failed? Why I had a 3K slush fund for car repairs? All within the first 30K miles!

What did you buy?
You didn't buy because of a warped dash?

murdoc 10-19-2015 04:48 PM

Here's what mine is doing. A bit of a dip in the middle. I always use a sunshade when I park during the day.

Ignore the gloss black vinyl, just trying to figure out if I want to go through the trouble of painting it since I don't like the silver or the dash panel pattern.

First, I'm gonna knee you in the nuts. Then, I'm going to knee your daddy right in the nuts. Just saying.

Mine was coming up within the first year of owning the car. I took it to the dealership and they replaced my dash. Haven't had a problem since.

Mr.ac 10-19-2015 09:33 PM

Mine is not that bad. Right side is just taller than the left side. It started getting better with better sunshades and tint.

hope you don't have the multitude of issues that most VW owners have, and my aunt/uncle experienced with their eos. Always fun when a convertible's top stops functioning while partially open.

Mine also does this, just a little better.

N1rve 10-23-2015 01:55 AM

I have this issue too...slight but annoying. However I had my windshield tinted since day 1 of owning this car, and the issue still appeared.

funwheeldrive 10-23-2015 03:34 AM

Is this issue more common in the MY13s?

Pretty sure, yes. I have a '13 with this problem, and every other '13 owner I know of also has either had this problem or had it fixed. Texas heat probably doesn't help.

DocWalt 10-23-2015 10:47 AM

My '13 has it a little bit. Might have to have the dealer swap the dash next year before warranty runs out :(

They won't swap, they'll just glue it back down. I'd rather do that myself than have one of their orangutans do it.

zonda 10-23-2015 11:50 AM

god i just noticed this on my car. 2014 with 16k miles

Criminy! In that case, I'd definitely do it myself and just glue it back down. I've had buddies who have had their BRZ's damaged inside by the dealer.

B-R-Z 10-23-2015 09:51 PM

I noticed my 13 is doing this too.
