Forza 6 Thread
Who is going to be playing?
I will be. If you played the demo then you know the 86 is one of the first cars you get drive! From the demo, and playing my buddies early start ultimate edition, I can tell you this absolutely annihilates Forza 5, GT, and Project Cars. GamerTag: TennisFreak Hit me up if you see me online! |
I want this game really bad, but I know I won't have time to play it lol
I'm going to wait for NFS before I purchase one of the new consoles (Xbox One / PS4) Nick C. |
I will definitely be playing. I hit up mousekilla15 this weekend when he was playing, he told me all good things about it. But the level of pisstivity I have over Fujimi Kaido being axed is somewhere between Ultron and Cthulhu.

fun fact,
i just bought myself my first Game consul in years! last one i owned was a Sega Dream-cast this is on my list to get |
Snapped this picture of my GT-86 in game! Forza 6 is amazing, hit me up if you want to race, gamertag: MetaLm0ses

After the abysmal so called ending of the original and then the total rip-off of the first expansion pack (expansion pack my @ss!!! more like what should have been downloadable content for free) I gave up on Destiny. I enjoyed the game play but I did not enjoy gettin ripped off on the first expansion. |

I'm going to go pick up my copy from the store this evening... played through the demo a few times last week.
|
Picked my copy up today and added the season pass. I finished the qualifying portion. Though I have to confess... I chose the S2000 for that part. But immediately got an 86 once my actual career started :D Gotta shake the cobb webs off before I do any online racing. Haven't dedicate play for Forza since 4 (5 was shit).
|
This game makes me irrationally want to buy an Xbox One despite already having a PS4 and having both Assetto Corsa & Project CARS on PC, and despite knowing it won't touch Assetto Corsa in the physics department... Still love Forza 4 for what it was. Damnit, Microsoft.
|
Ok after playing for a bit. I have a few complaints. 1. they don't offer PD kits for the twins! and 2. what's with the crappy body kits?!

Been thinking about picking this up after I finish MGSV, but I have a PS4 lol so i'd have to buy an XBOXONE just to play this game. worth it? or should I just wait for Gran Turismo?

Forza 6 is amazing. Grip physics are vastly improved. The last Forza I played was 3 so this is a major jump for me. That being said the cockpit view is amazing now compared to demos of 4 and 5 I played. Racing in the rain is very intense and even the hydroplane physics are impressive (not fun at times!). I'd say this game is worth checking out. |

N64 I still have and still play;) Banjo Kazooe still my favorite game. Have all the classics too; mario kart 64, super smash bros, pokemon stadium, hey you pikachu!, 007, super mario 64, zelda, yoshie's story, star fox 64, diddy kong racing, star wars pod racing, mario party (yes the first one.), etc. I'm prob missing some but this is some of my favs off the top of my head. |

But, my biggest beef isn't with the core game. It's the small details; some of which were in GT6. Shifting! Show the paddles and the knob actually MOVING! Another thing is the authenticity of the modifications. There are 4 PD SC on the market for our cars. And it's not even an option in the game! >:( another is tire width. It bugs me I can fit 255x45 tires on the stock wheels for our cars. Building on that, it does annoy me how the engine swaps are very generic. Also the body kits available are shit to say the least. For any car, not just the twins. Anyway! That's all I'm hyper critical about. Driving in the rain is awesome and so it at night time through the nurburgring  |

On Forza 3 & 4, my old roommate and I were in the top 100 leaderboards for time attack on Fujimi Kaido old downhill. We broke the legendary 4 minute mark and ended up whittling our time down competing with each other for thousandths of a second, until one magical day in which I sat down and perfectly crushed the previous record by two seconds. Currently I'm reigning champ, and we were really hoping to could get back on the mountain to settle it in Forza 5, but with it missing we patiently waited for Forza 6, only to get screwed again. I'm pretty bitter about it to be honest. |

You must try box car racers! It's a race my friends and I created on Fujimi Kaido. You must have your assist set to manual with clutch. What you do is you all line up at the first hill on the full track of Fujimi Kaido. Everybody gives enough gas to get the car to roll forward just a little bit. Afterwards nobody is allowed to put the car into gear and must race this way. The momentum of the course gets the car eventually to speeds of ~60-70 mph. Obviously this tests your braking and cornering capabilities. If you brake too late you'll probably spin out disqualifying you from the race. If you brake too early and too much you'll start to lose all your momentum eventually slowing your car to a stand still! |

Good to know, No fujimi would kill it for me. Use to spend so much time editing photos of me & my friend duking it out on fujimi. =/

The Manual w/ clutch option in Forza. Essentially you have to hold the LB down the whole race. You can actually let go after a while and the car won't go in gear, but we prefer to hold it down just to prevent any cheating. I'm surprised everybody doesn't play with this setting. Clutch kicking makes drifting easier too with this control setup. |

My buddy and I would play split screen on the mountain every day only going to full screen when we'd try to set new records... And we'd do pretty much the exact opposite of you guys where, instead of coasting, you have to race the whole time down the mountain with the throttle pinned and so the only way to keep a modicum of control was to figure out some combination of shift-locking and e-braking while the whole time you're bouncing off the rev limiter. My personal favorite hijink was whenever we'd tandem and you get the perfect drift in which only throttle input is needed, you show off by taking your left hand off the controller and imitate holding your hand out a car window like those crazy real life drifters do. |

Build a high revving V8 BRZ with the SpeedFactory paint design. It's a pretty sweet A-Class/ S-Class (if supercharged) fighter. I'll post some pics later tonight or tomorrow.
|
As soon as I pick up FM6 ill transfer my S class tune onto my brz, ill tweak it as needed from FH2.
|
Do it man! Get FM6!

Just got the game yesterday. I had played a bit at my buddies house but I am still very new to simulation racing. My friends were pissed when on my level 1 prize spin after the tutorial I got the veyron super sport. My level 2 prize spin I got 1 mil credits. Needless to say I have had no problem wasting a ton of money on my 86.
I spent almost all my time after the tutorial working on an 86 drift build. I think I dialed in a really nice setup on the V8 swap and it sounds alot better too :D . I messed around with turboing the stock block and then tried the flat 6 in NA, supercharged and twin turbo before settling on the NA V8 as it is so much more controllable. If any of you enjoy drifting in the game take a look at my tune and let me know what you think. It should be listed under something along the lines of "Drift V8 NA" with Tectoniic as the creator. It does cost ~85k on a stock 86 and has a rating ~716. |
