I'm from the 805 but 805 covers a wide area. Also if I had known this was going on ahead of time I would have gone.
Seems kind of odd being near the show guys and track guys.

itsibarra 09-11-2015 11:46 AM

The 3 years prior there were tons of cars with just wheels. Also, it is kinda cool to see how your car sits next to other builds. Plus you get to roll-in/park next to all the other 86ers.

Me and a couple buddies from Oxnard are going. We bought tickets to be inside though so were going to be leaving here early.

bryanttttttta 09-14-2015 03:32 AM

I happen to just meet the founder of 86fest, Antonio. He's one of the most chillest and passionate guys. Are you guys interested in a group discount for autoX or to display your cars?

luuser75 09-14-2015 05:47 PM

group discount for auto x! will there be loaner helmets available?

miyoshi82 09-16-2015 12:45 AM

I never been to one, and unfortunately I won't be going this year but I will try to make it in 2016 if it happens. Dumb question is probably dumb, do people also show up with automatic FRS?

YvesSaintLudwig 09-16-2015 04:17 AM

what time do the show starts? and also are all cars and make welcome to this event?

The gates open to the public at 11 AM, and people with all different types of models and makes show up, but the cars on display will mostly be FR-S', BRZ's, or AE86s.

Plenty of 86's that show up are automatic.

Is anyone from Bakersfield or the Central Valley going? :D

ryoma 09-21-2015 02:15 AM

how is 86fest compared to subie fest? subie fest this year has put a bad taste in my mouth.

ronboogieon 09-21-2015 09:49 PM

wondering the same thing. I'm new to cali and wondering if it's worth it to go.

xcooperx 09-21-2015 10:50 PM

I heard its the same organizer

VIC_BRZ 09-21-2015 10:53 PM

If it's the same organizer I'm definitely not gonna go.

Ya I hope so, because it was my first time going to subiefest and that was a disaster.

bryanttttttta 09-22-2015 12:12 PM

I went last year and it was pretty chill. The raffle took forever though. How was autoX for those who did it?

Apparently my name was called in the raffle and I had just left lol

Definitely NOT the same organizer.

Last weekend at Autoclub Speedway was hectic because of the multiple events going on. Track day, NMCA Drags, Subiefest + AutoX. It seemed they were short on staff everywhere. Most of the people working were volunteers and half were unsure as to where to direct people

diegoei 09-23-2015 07:30 PM

What time does it start?

bryanttttttta 09-24-2015 12:54 AM

Lmao. Nice meme Mike. I'll be volunteering at the event. I also heard, Scion will have the new Scion iA and iM to test drive for the lucky few.

I just realized 805 is near me (I'm 661). If you guys happen to set up a caravan or something, let me know so I can tag along if it's not too far out of the way for me! :burnrubber:

BRZtoni 09-25-2015 04:08 PM

should i go or not go. i went to subiefest and sort of disappointed...

ryoma 09-25-2015 05:46 PM

it's going to be 97F on Sunday so be prepared for the same subiefest heat. but at least you have an STI umbrella to use now, right? lol

I'm debating on whether or not to go as well... I need to drive over an hour to get there and don't want to waste my time if it's like subiefest.

Kevinmp7 09-25-2015 06:07 PM

Can't make it this year so I have a general admission ticket available. I'm happy to give it away so pm if interested
