rawbz 06-21-2012 04:33 PM

Jordo! 06-21-2012 04:43 PM

Looks good.

Red-out the tails

DarrenDriven 06-22-2012 02:38 AM

Yeah, if you ever head down to Portland I can help you make the tails a beautiful solid red. :) Car looks great!

detainu 06-22-2012 02:59 AM

ok, that sounds great. We have family in the Portland area, so are down there quite often. The wheels are the new Enkei Raijin and the tires are Proxes 4 Plus. They are excellent tires, high performance tires with a 45,000 mile tread warranty. And a lot quieter on the freeway than the stock ones. oh, the wheels are 18X8 and the tires are 225X45X18 fit great!

DarrenDriven 06-22-2012 03:04 AM

I'd like to post your wheels in the Wheel Forum, do you know the offset?

PM me when you are coming to Portland and I'll give you directions to my personal shop. (check my sig for the link) You can come over and have a beer and we can talk FR-S for a bit.

detainu 06-22-2012 03:08 AM

They are 45mm

Zoomie 06-27-2012 06:59 PM

Really!?! Just one little dinky photo? Comeoooon......:D

detainu 06-27-2012 07:53 PM

For better pictures, upload to Imgur first. There you can play with them as much as you want and then copy a link right to the forums. Can even make an album and put it in your signature! Like I have.

i think this particular owner has since sold off these wheels. however, i think @Chen can chime in on this, since he has/had these wheels too.

They felt good and looked great. Currently I'm back to my stocks for the winter but wish I had these. They close up the fender gap. Had no rubbing issues. I had 225/40/18s on mine and it road perfect. And I drove my car pretty

I got into an accident and 1 got ruined. So I'm just trying to decide if I want to fork over some cash or wait for somebody to sell a used set for cheap. If I get another one. The set will be used as a stance set.

Jmonty 11-06-2013 12:00 AM

Bummer Chen on the accident,

you're gonna use the RPF1 as your track set?

were the Raijins good for daily driving?

(sorry for the many questions)

No worries. Ask as many as you need. How else are you going to learn.

until I get my hands on another raijin wheel. I'll probably dd the rpf1s. The raijins were a blast. Forum and function. Totally worth it.

what setup were u running?

lowered?

im thinking of getting 18x8.5 +45

i'm not too familiar with offsets but from what i understand, +45 will give me a flush look on the 18x8.5s.

Mine is lowered on stance coilovers probably about inch or ijch an a half. Maybe a 2 finger gap between fender and tire I went with the 18x8.5 +45 on all 4. If you want to check out my car journal in my sig. I have some photos with them on it the car.

Chen 11-06-2013 02:29 PM

On 225/40/18 tires. No rubbing in turning. But it may look more flush with 235/45/18
