GReddy EVO GT Cat-back Exhaust Review
https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...57&oe=5637A0C6
http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/...pskhv4modz.png Since there is no review (afaik from using the search tool) I will be giving some personal insight on this exhaust system. First and for most, This has a very nice deep tone with it's 3" piping and 4.5" tips. Not overly loud, and doesn't drone at cruising speed. Cold start was quieter than I originally thought it would have sounded and after it has warmed up it's a very subtle warm lion purr. When WOT it's like stepping on previously mentioned lion right on the nose and it wanting to attack (sums up how it sounds pretty accurately if I do say so myself). Installation was very easy, took about an hour to put in as it was my very first time swapping a cat-back. Removing the OEM cat-back actually took the longest due to the hangars being really hard to remove from rubber mountings (took about 45mins). Installing the EVO GT was simple lego action and hangars slipped right in the rubber mounting. One other thing to note, probably mandatory to have a helper with you as some places are hard to reach while holding up the exhaust and trying to bolt/unbolt here and there. **NOTE** This is with OEM headers/op/fp. Will be ordering a UEL-Header probably next month so stay tuned if you are interested. **NOTE2** Installed a Gruppe-S UEL catless header, review will be in another thread and will be edited into this. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93549 Sound clips/installation of this system can be found here (not done by me): https://youtu.be/IBJhDj83ZXU?t=1m43s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCkuhJTIce0 ***Very short sound clip of my setup that includes the following mods: Stage 2 OFT Takeda CAI Gruppe-S UEL Header Greddy EVO GT cat-back https://www.facebook.com/miko.puesta...3722080632360/ |

thank you for the pics! I was too excited when I got mine (almost 3 month wait) that I didn't get to take the pics of the parts. :w00t: |
Are you lowered? Can you take a low shot from the rear? Looks like you lose some ground clearance with this exhaust

@vividracing @ mikool looking to purchase exhaust soon
it's between this and HKS Legamax Sport for the EVO GT, does the exhaust come out pretty evenly? It looks to me that the flow to the right looks more natural. I just don't want 1 tip black and the other one shiney (OCD lol) For the HKS, it looks like it flows evenly. am i making any sense? lol http://ep.yimg.com/ay/yhst-848867813...ion-fr-s-2.gif |
Honestly, even though the flow isn't "even" I never noticed one tip getting dirtier than the other. If you're as OCD about your car as me, then you'll have it cleaned every week anyway so it's a non-issue :D

@Atticus808 The measurements are the same, as for flow I'm not 100% sure but it def doesn't get "dirtier" than the other side. I hand wash pretty frequently so I don't ever let it build up, but from what I can see it's as even as it will ever get. Unless of course you don't plan on washing your car for several months then maybe there might be an issue.

I am on the verge of purchasing one for my BRZ, after months and months of researching :sigh: . I love the grimy sound and is clearly high quality. About the install, I have heard several people have problems with some bolts that were not the correct size for the fit. Did you have any problems with that? Also does losing ground clearance, at any time, get in your way? |

Is the sound noticeable? I am starting to find some disappointed people because it's apparently quiet. |

I wanted something that will give me that growl right of the bat without doing anything else, that's why I went with Dezod. |
I also have this exhaust and it's very well made with all the components mating together seamlessly. It's pretty loud but definitely not as loud as my Tomei.
