O look what I was saying all along.. Same car diff badge and bumpers/fenders/lights :p
|
if this turns out to be true, i'm going to run around with the largest "I TOLD YOU SO" sign you've ever seen on the internet. RWD > AWD for this car.
|
Its about Damn time
|
Just bring it to the States, I will get one.

nice news! though im pretty sure it will look nothing like that "rendering"
|
If this is going to a Subaru, it will be AWD right?

2.0 Liter, yes!
|
Maybe they will open the hood for this one. Can't wait!
|
Does this mean they will show the final version that will be in production?
Nope, they are only showing the concept. OK, I cant wait for it. Hopefully they have full specs on the spec sheet. |
Maybe just maybe toyota will show thier production ready car or something.
|
woah. lots of news today. i never thought i'd say this but if the ft-86 is labeled a scion then i just might get the subie ver. totally depends on the cost and design tho.

Possibility of the option to have the 2.0 STi motor from the factory on the Suby car? :party0038:

Very good news. I hope its damn near the same as what the production model is gonna be. If they make a 2.0L turbo priced between 26k-29k and toyota's version is under scion badge I would probably go subie.
|
The car camouflage make the rear end look like a Corrado...
http://image.eurotuner.com/f/8179838...+back_view.jpg lol, kinda. Cant wait for the full deets in March! |
an actual release date? hmmmmm i might be leaning towards the subie version

If the subie version turns out to be a rwd corrado i will buy it and keep it forever. i love corrados but fwd sucks. Those pics are just a test mule though. The final subie version will be an ft-86 with different front and rear facias. Subie concept at geneva and production versions of both cars at Tokyo in the fall...I can't wait:party0030: http://blog.caranddriver.com/subaru-...=Google+Reader |
At the auto show in less than two months, but still no pics of the concept? We got to see pics of the FT-86 before it's offical debut... :sigh:

topspeed.com has some diffrent looking renderings in their Geneva-News:

From all accounts it's supposed to be a fairly small car. The genesis coupe really isn't all THAT small. But yeah looks like a hash of the Genesis Coupe.

That's because it's a very old photoshop that is based off the genesis coupe. That top speed chop has nothing to do with the actual concept we will see in geneva 2011. Expect a FT-86 with a subaru styled front end and possibly a hatchback rear end to differentiate the suby version from the toyota/scion. |
if the suby's a hatch then i'm definitely getting the suby over the scion. will have to wait and see..

This. |
Good. I was scared there for a second. If the subie version looks almost as good as the Toyota than I'd be happy.

Official Subaru Press Release
I received the official Annoucements from Subaru Switzerland today:
In german: Quote:

Of course there were no pictures added to the press release :( In summary no big news, just thought some of you'd like to read it anyways ;) |
^^ Good info, but we have talked about that since the very first. This is a built-from-scratch model. Of course both car will use flat engine, but i guess is, it won't be from any existing engine from Subaru, or No?
