ARK PERFORMANCE INC X Ft86 / BRZ Exhaust Project VIDEO UPDATED!

ARK PERFORMANCE INC with the help of 742 Marketing, was able to get our hands on a FRS to start prototyping for an exhaust system. Our main goal is to provide the community with a clean exhaust tone without sacrificing performance.

We are known to utilize dual resonator chambers along with our signature mufflers and tips. More updates will be up shortly along with detailed videos.

Stay tuned

RWD_only 07-06-2012 04:52 AM

I really dig it.

Turbowned 07-06-2012 10:41 AM

Sounds tasty! If you offer one without burnt tips, I may very well have to buy one!

OrbitalEllipses 07-06-2012 11:13 AM

The burnt tip trend sucks; I was thinking this sounded good, but disliked the tips. I'd be interested in knowing the weight compared to stock, due to added weight from the dual resonator chambers.

ARK FT86 07-06-2012 11:41 AM

The chambers are hollow. Each weighing in about 2.3lbs without the arms. In addition, this is still a prototype model so the aesthetics of the exhaust is subjected to change.

xwd 07-06-2012 12:48 PM

Is this a catback? I would also be interested in the overall weight versus stock. Love the sound of it.

NYC BRZ 07-06-2012 01:22 PM

Sounds awesome! +1 for no burnt tips.

civicdrivr 07-06-2012 01:40 PM

Dyno numbers?

ARK FT86 07-06-2012 01:42 PM

correct. this is a catback exhaust system. Until we get the final prototype back in from Korea, we wont have an exact weight. Although taking the exhaust off myself, it will be lighter than stock

ARK FT86 07-06-2012 03:03 PM

Functionality is key.
ARK's Signature drone reducing technology.

How does it sound at Highway speeds? Any drone?

ultra 07-06-2012 06:35 PM

Sounds good! Like the tone.

ttknf 07-06-2012 07:22 PM

Sounds pretty good so far! Is it going to be a "catback" exhaust?

After asking the same question I noticed in the picture it is bolted up to the factory midpipe which would make it a catback.

Motopythons 07-06-2012 10:13 PM

WOW, so far I haven't been impressed with any system other than the Amuse one which costs a kidney or two, but damn I love the sound of this ARK system (trust me, I'm a professional classical musian)!

It just comes down to performance, weight, and price.

PS: don't listen to them, burnt tips are HOT. or make it optional.

fasteddy 07-06-2012 10:42 PM

I have to say I was quite impressed by the sound. More details please!

I am on for this! Seriously! Let me know when I can order.

dvlnsyde 07-08-2012 10:54 PM

After doing a little research on your products, I am pretty much sold on one. My only request are . . . . dyno numbers & group buy. I am in NorCal, but will drive down to your shop for the install. Unless I can get a good recommendation from someone up here. Great job so far!!

oso_25 07-08-2012 11:05 PM

I have a comment based on my currently installed Grip exhaust on my G37. From this picture the muffler and resonators are tucked into where the stock exhaust is normally positioned which is perfect. On my Infiniti they are angled in a V shape (See picture below) which looks great but makes it very difficult to clear some speed bumps and other road conditions. Please try to keep it as close to the prototype fitment you show in the above picture as you can. Thanks!
