How much should i pay for a BRZ?

Hi i want to buy a automatic BRZ limited. I when the subaru dealership and the sales person that the lower they could go is 38k and thats too much. I would like to know much i should pay for one and how much you guys paid for one. And is ordering a BRZ cheaper. Thanks

thill 06-19-2012 02:10 AM

You should be able to get MSRP. Expand your net and look at more dealers.

$38k for this car is a ripoff.

What thill said. For that price you could get a 370Z. They're marking up a good $8000.

Yeah, my SSM Limited 6MT was 32k out the door, and that's including TTL and doc fees.

dori. 06-19-2012 10:00 AM

for 38k you can step into a BMW. Tell the dealer to go fuck himself.

For Limited auto you shouldn't be paying more than 29-30k (before taxes and fees, natch).

BMWDavid 06-19-2012 10:07 AM

I got my BRZ 6MT Limited for $30,369.00 OTD.

DantKR 06-19-2012 10:09 AM

BRZ LT is 1100 cheaper than AT. So most the OTD prices are going to be 31,500 - 32,500.

Jayde 06-19-2012 11:29 AM

$38k for a BRZ is outrageous. You can buy so many different cars for that price. Shop around at different dealers to see who will give you the best offer. Don't be afraid to drive a little to get what you want.

38k?! :eyebulge:

I paid 30k OTD for my limited WITH an extended warranty and the maintenance package.

PS heres the best advice I can give you; Skip the auto trans, save a grand, and have more fun driving

adprokid 06-19-2012 12:01 PM

38K!!:eyebulge: WTH, thats a murder

helloimgil 06-19-2012 01:21 PM

38k... just say no. Like other said, shop around. I would recommend out of state as those are more willing to go MSRP compared to the popular states - CA, NY, FL dealers are ripping people off.

YoshiMike13 06-19-2012 01:43 PM

bimmerboy 06-19-2012 01:49 PM

I haven't encountered any dealers in my area of NY trying to charge over MSRP. In face, a dealer in CT tried to do that to me. I walked out on them.

Pay sticker price or look elsewhere. I called a dealer up in Maine, Pape Subaru and spoke with Vinnie. He set me up with a white BRZ limited with the rear view mirror upgrade and the rear bumper upgrade for 28626.00 After the doc fees came out to be 29005.00 :)

Hell, never pay MSRP. I'm fine waiting for a few months.

$38K is just goofy. That's BMW 135i or 328 money, and close to 370Z Nismo money. Tell him to get stuffed.

BRZED 06-19-2012 11:43 PM

I have emailed about 10 subaru dealership around the country to get me a BRZ for MSRP.

Jayde 06-19-2012 11:46 PM

If you're looking for a BRZ auto, but can live with a Premium, there's a dealer near me that is only selling at MSRP. ;)

I want a limit because it comes with leather seats and insurance will be a little
cheap because it comes with anti theft system. And it will also have a better a a resell value.

Figured I'd ask. :) Plus I didn't think you'd want to travel across the country to get it anyway.

I would pay abit more to get the car shipped to my house. Its better than buying it from the dealers near me.

This is true. I'll see what I can find in my area and report back if I see anything.

According to Autotrader.com, there is roughly 34 new cars in Automatic for sale within 500 miles of me. Can't say which are and aren't being marked up without contacting them, but here's the link:

Autotrader

Perhaps give the dealers a call in the morning who have ones you're interested in and see if they're willing to ship a car. Maybe also use the site to see if you can find any closer to you.

I pre-ordered the premium trim in March through a Texas dealer. They just delivered it but it was the limited trim instead and were insisting on $5000 above MSRP. They claimed some dealers were asking for $10,000 over. I left the car for someone else.
