I just got an e-mail that Speed Dynamics cancelled the event.

the new event will be the same day at streets of willow hosted by speed venture, join the 86cup group on facebook for up to date info.

I don't have a facebook. Im not a fan.

We are aware not everyone is on Facebook, and we're finishing work on a website for the 86CUP :) . We might also create an email list to keep competitors up to date.

Bleh. I've already done Streets; I really wanted to get on the big track for a good price. Realistically, I should get an oil cooler before I track my car at Willow. Plus, I need to save my money for my move to DC. :( I'll probably drive up just to watch.

Sucks it's with ExtremeSpeed, but you can sign up for like $90 with some discount. Let me know man! Me and some of my car friends are going to be there to track.

And dude! I know you are not a fan of FB, but just open an account and become a member of the canyon run groups. You don't really have to do any personal social media activities. FB is just easy to communicate with friends. haha

I got my refund a couple days after the email from SD, but I paid with PayPal. Maybe credit cards transactions take longer.

If you come up to watch, feel free to ask for ride alongs :)

Speed Dynamics is a nicely run organization. All the refunds should go out pretty soon, if it's not done already.

Good news though. You can get a free slurpee that day

I actually got it today. I would have rather run big willow, though. :cry:

The SOW was my very first track location. Loved it and still love it!

How this will work is, for the bonus session we'll be gridding everyone by lap time and splitting into 3 groups so that we'll have no more than 5-6 drivers on track at a time. You'll get 1 out lap and 2 hot laps then come immediately off track from the skidpad at the end of your final hot lap.

Since this is a special case for us and an opportunity we don't want to waste, we have a special bonus for this event. We're going to count the usual sessions 2-4 and your times from the TT session will count towards your FTD. Also, we're going to award 1 bonus point for everyone who participates in the TT session! Hopefully with full participation we can negotiate for more special TT session in the future and make this a regular thing for our series!
