Vaping in cars+other vape related

Anyone vape in their car? Any smell lingering? Allow anyone to vape in your vehicle?

I just jumped on the hipster bandwagon. Got me a vape, juice and stuff. I'm worried smell will get eaten by carpet and alcantara. I know, I know.. 'well then don't do it inside, nub.' I don't but friends started asking if they can when I drive them around...

Personally, anyone have issues with smell? Getting rid of smell?

I bought a vaporizer for the sole purpose of using it in my BRZ but ended up giving up cigarettes altogether and only vaping. As far as any odors, I don't notice any. My passengers also don't notice any odors and the interior still has the "new car smell"

I smoke in mine (blasphemy, the horror, you Neanderthal, how could you, etc, etc.) and on the rare occasions that anybody has rode with me they still comment on the "new car smell". Those toxic fumes emitting from the carpet and plastics that everybody loves so much will last a while before anything else will take over.

I chain vape in my car everyday and I don't notice any lingering odor at all. I also vape in my house which when I smoked I would never do and no odor present there either.
I don't think that vapor attaches to anything like the tar from tobacco does.

I think it largely depends on what you're vaping with. When I'd drip in my old car, the smell would linger and I'd have to air it out to clear it up. Never really had that issue with any of my tank rigs.

Vaping 5 years here..

There should not be any lingering odors that stick around from it.

The only issue you may have is your windows becoming hazy over time. Vegetable glycerin likes to stick to windows. You may find yourself driving one night and wondering why it looks like your windows are foggy.

Keep some armor all window wipes in your car just in case.

My old Integra held the smell from the few cigs I smoked in her. But now vaping in my BRZ there is no lingering smell whatsoever. I've done long ass road trips puffin away and nothing sticks.

This.

Once I switched to a 70/30 PG/VG blend I noticed less "window fog". As for the smell, none of my passengers have noticed anything and I vape a lot in my car. Now if you live in a "free" state and they are "vaporizing" the sticky icky well that's a different story ;)

Haven't had any issues on my end. Definitely better than smoking at least. Used to have a pretty distinct smell in my car until I stopped smoking in it. Only took about a week with an air freshener to get it out.

Packofcrows 07-02-2015 02:19 AM

DANG! I didn't know of the fog... I won't let my buds vape unless windows all down. I don't want glycerin cooking on my windows! I've seen what hairspray does to windows. Otherwise, I'll clean the windows after a few vaping sessions.

Anyway, awesome, I feel a bit more comfy about vaping inside. Well...learning to vape.

Remember that one girl I mentioned I tried to impress by doing big clouds? Well, she lold when I started coughing my @ss off after not fully cooking the liquid and sucking it instead. And she has a bf... :iono: :cry::cry: :sigh:

Wait, are you an ex smoker or did you just pick up vaping for the hell of it? If it's the latter then you might be the first one I've had the chance to talk to.

I just picked it up. My O2 blood levels are near 100% what they should be. Little less because I been fat all my life. Food just gravitates towards me, ya know? I've never smoked besides 1-2 cigs a year and those have been prime times or skylines.

Wen't to smoke shop for heck of it, picked up a Beast mod box (2 battery), mutantv2 atomizer, and pineapple e-juice zero nicotine. Just learned how to wick it with cotton and hemp string the other night. I didn't know I had to put cotton through spring, I just threw it over it... :iono:

Welp, that would explain you coughing your ass off! Most of the smokers who made the switch, me included, don't get nearly the amount of throat burn that you get from cigs.

Currently rocking two different flavors that I made. Bay Rum, and Rainbow Sherbert Cream. If you make your own juice, I can give you the recipes.

One of my favorite flavors is Mother's Milk by Suicide Bunny. It's a little pricey though. But now I'm vaping on Dr. Crimmy's Kitty Milk and Banana Caramel Crimm.

Ever since I started vaping I noticed that I'm not breathing as hard while doing strenuous activities (I'm an aircraft mechanic in Las Vegas). The flavors of vaping is also a plus. However, I noticed that it's just not as "satisfying" vaping after a meal as opposed to a real cigarette...=\

Anything soft, non-super sweet taste you recommend? No nicotine or least preferred.

Mostly bakery and desert flavors, vanilla, custard, cheesecake, mostly make my own but I'm hooked on ACB, Virus and PassionCake, all by Nicoticket.

I'm rotating a couple of flavors from Mt. Baker Vapor: GwaRy4, Artic Heat, Hawk Sauce, and Faux Hawk.

The only other flavor that I'd recommend that isn't a "dessert" flavor is "melonlicious" but it's only available at a local vape shop here in Vegas. Local vape shop juices are cheap and not all that bad. You usually can even taste test your juice before you buy it. I'd search on Yelp and see what vape shops have good ratings that are near you.

Found melonlicious or similar. Its good, but I messed up mixing it with mint and not cleaning cotton... was a total fail.

Car has received zero complaints of smoke smell! Only problem I've had is leaving hot vape mod on recalled mats I keep in my trunk. The vape heat melted the plastic a bit. Oh and the glycerin too! Found out its easy to clean with water then rubbing alcohol in shade.

If you want your car to smell like new again, buy Weathertech floormats. They're like a reset switch for your car's scent. They're super "oem" smelling.
