OptionJDM - Looking for a FR-S / BR-Z to be a Sponsor

OptionJDM is seeking a owner of FR-S / BR-Z to become one of our many sponsors.
We are looking for people that are passionate about building their car properly and have a good attitude also! Person will receive discounted parts for their vehicle in return for representing our company in car shows and just being around the GTA / Ontario in general.

For more information send me a PM or an email with your future build list and if we are interested we will contact you!

Seems like everyone is getting their car this week so we would like to find someone relatively soon!

What timeline do you guys see for the car to be "finished"? I guess what I mean is
if your plans align with the potential sponsor's, i.e. wheels, coilovers, exhaust, etc. when would you expect those parts to all be purchased/installed?

I have lots of plans, but before making changes/installing parts I want to take the car as is to some track events to get a feel for the car's abilities from the factory.

Thanks!

Building a car is never finish. As long as the car is built right, the time it takes doesn't really matter. We are looking for people with the right attitude to join our team representing us no matter where they are!

Sorry for the wrong post reply but just wonder if you do carry any stainless steel brake lines and brake pads for the FR-S yet? I will get it from you if they're ready to buy in store.

^^ Exactly!

Mr. Mcoupe 07-03-2012 12:12 PM

Free discounted parts FTW! oops?

brianc 07-03-2012 12:33 PM

So basically if you are planning to mod the crap out of your FRS and want a company to support you in your endeavors.. Option JDM is looking for you.

7thgear 07-03-2012 12:37 PM

would option JDM offer insurance partners that will be willing to insure such a vehicle at reasonable rates?

not many companies out there will openly insure a car on "offroad use only" coilovers ;)

Hey guys!
We found a sponsored BR-Z. Owner is Arjun and he has lots of plans for the car. You'll be seeing this car in the GTA and also the K/W area. We are looking for a couple more guys who are interested in joining our team!

7thgear 07-05-2012 11:26 AM

update on my insurance inquiry?

OptionJDM 07-05-2012 01:06 PM

^^ My bad, forgot to get back to you. As for company that insure modify cars, I myself use Statefarm. They never looked at my car. They could be in fact insuring absolutely nothing haha. If a insurance company actually looked at my car i would for sure not get any insurance. But good luck if you need to make a claim

brianc 07-05-2012 01:40 PM

Is this your first modified car?

Insurance coverage on a modified car? UHHHH. Not the easiest.

most definitely not ;)

in the past i was younger and didn't care, didn't read the fine print, and wasn't worrying about the next 40 years.

now it's a different story.

my main concern is not insuring the upgraded parts but liability insurance. There are too many "what ifs" that no one openly talks about.

Everyone says "i don't tell so i don't worry," which quite frankly is a pretty shitty way to go about things.

Something you would have to work out with the insurance agent

and what insurance agent would that be? You, a long standing retailer said it yourself that "i would never get insured if i told them what i'd done to the car."

Everyone is always eager to sell parts but no one wants to talk about the dark side hobby in Canada.

The Co-Operators would somewhat insure a stolen modify vehicle. I had a heavily modify s2000 stolen from one of my family member and they covered all the parts on the car. But since then we changed to State Farm and they never really inspected my car and alot of my friends are with them also in the same hobby.
