Friday Night Weekly D*ck's Burger meet in Edmonds
 

Weekly Car Meet at D*ck's Drive-In. There are a lot of communities there to represent such as the Genesis, Mustangs, V8 Club forum etc. Would love to see some 86s show up. imports usually rolls in around 8pm ish. if we show just a little earlier, we can get ourselves some spots. i'll take some pictures at this next meet on the 10th just before the mega meet.

yep 8pm is when majority of the people rolls in. if we can get some 86s to come earlier we can take up some spots just for us :)

Lot of Hondas and stancers there, I occasionally show up with Eastside Royal and/or Majestic to diversify it a bit. It's a decent meet and can get really big sometimes. Plus, ****s is a great burger joint.

Just don't do anything stupid because it's often monitored by local law enforcement and they don't hesitate to hand out tickets.

Does not matter now. some morons in was doing donuts and burnouts during the meet about 3 weeks ago. D*ck's employee came out to confront the guys to tell them to stop, they threatened the dude(is what i heard) and cops were called 3 times that night. We were then told by the manager that there will be no more friday car meets from then on and parking will only be permitted if you eat there and will only be for 30min.

I will try to find another place for a little weekly gathering. perhaps in Millcreek.

A MazdaSpeed 3 buddy told me Mount Lake Terrace P&R could be a viable spot. At least, he invited me to go down and hang out with his buds tomorrow. If no one wants to join in, I'll head down there and see how it goes.

He told me his group are pretty mature minded car folks and dont do stupid crap like burnouts and engine revs, etc.

I went with some friends tonight, they had a sign up that said "no car show parking" after my friends pulled in someone from ****s said we could only park for 30 minutes, about 15 minutes later a cop walked up and told us it was time to leave.

Hi folks. I mostly browse this site (but it's a wealth of info) and peruse /r/ft86 but finally figured I'd post something... I live a couple of blocks away from the Edmonds D_icks and while the Friday night car show has been amusing most of the time to stroll through, there have been many late Friday nights in which I hear continuous burnouts from my house. The number of folks that decide to continue their 'show' out of the parking lot and go 50-60+ down my 25mph residential street is frustrating.

My point is, I'm sorry that they're axing the car show for those who are respectful about it, but there's the whole other side of it that just downright pisses the folks off who live nearby. Wherever the meetup moves to, I hope they're all respectful of those who live nearby.

Town center?

I know that feeling. While not as often and extreme as what was described in previous posts, I have Hondas (go figure) buzzing and hitting their rev limiter in 2nd gear down my small residential street and the main street that cuts through the neighborhood. Its a serious hazard because there are a lot of very young children who play on the street.

I also live near a highway and while I rarely hear normal cars, the sounds of people speeding/racing down the highway irritates the hell out of me.
